Last year, my wife was pretty upset at DS and me for laughing all the way through and making fun of the evil dolls.

I have to be honest. I've never really gotten a big kick out of IASW. It was closed for refurb during one trip a number of years ago, and I didn't feel that I missed anything. I was really disappointed when it seemed all they did was to put in the new ramp and control center.

Maybe Iago could fly over and take over the evil little dolls too.

Now THAT would be funny! :laugh

OK I admit it, I am a fan.

Tink, I think you would really enjoy the Disneyland version. A much bigger experience there.

I am sooo disappointed that IASW will be closed this year. We skipped this the last couple years because my wife doesn't like it. I was looking forward to riding it this year, but no luck.

BTW...now I will be whistling this song all day....whaaaa!!!

Yes, I did sing along with it the one time I rode it. Not because I wanted to mind you, but because by the end of it, the song was stuck in my head and I was doing my best to get it OUT OUT OUT:!::!::!::!::!::!:

All I can think about are all those poor parents out there who are forced to ride it to see their children. You do realize that those children aren't dolls--they're all the kids that parents left on the boat after the Jungle Cruise. At least, that's what our Jungle Cruise director said would happen. Any children that are left behind are immediately taken to IASW, their feet are glued to the floor, and they are forced to sing IASW endlessly, day after day, night after night.

But then, now that I think about it and have children of my own, that would be a god way to discipline your kids--threaten to leave them on the Jungle Cruise so they have to become part of the IASW ride. That's motivation to get your kids to straighten up! :)

And as for the rehab, it's probably only really to give the kids a break so they can eat and drink something, and maybe even go use the bathroom.

Either that, or they have a new set of kids to replace the ones who are getting too old to pass off as 7-8 year olds... :D ;) :p

OK Lisa hon, I confess, but it is not always a cheerful singing along. I am actually screaming to get out by the time I get out. BUT I always have to go in!!!

There is just one moon
And one golden sun
And a smile means friendship
To everyone

Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all.

I don't really care for the ride either. I usually ride it once but then the song is there forever.
Of course even more so when DGD puts the CD in with the song on it.:nooo:

Whew!!!:D

This could actually prove to be a good thing. If IASW is going to reopen in Spring 2005 then I will have no choice but to go back in 2005 and see the new IASW and then we've got Expedition Everest to look forward to in 2006 so I will have no choice but to go back in 2006 to check out Expedition Everest. :D DD will be big enough to go on the roller coasters by then as well, hmmmm everything just always seems to work out in the end doesn't it?:laugh

That's EXACTLY the logic I'm using to go back in December. Because the rates went down on my airfare after I made the reservation, I got an $80 credit with JetBlue. So, I don't want that to go to waste!
