Picture help?

I just got home with a new digital camera for our trip in August. Would love to have some suggestions for pictures that have come out great for you, some that bring about very special memories.

OOh! I just came back from a trip in May. What kind of camera do you have and what kind of memory card are you taking.

Here's what I did:

My digital camera came with 8mb of built in memory, and I found a greaet deal on a 32MB card at a computer store (it was a one time special - I think something like 20 bucks). Anyway...
We brought along our laptop for the trip - there were a few things we both needed to keep tabs on - which was great because at night we would be able to check our email and the web.

What I would do is take photos at the best setting possible - even though the pictures were larger sized files, I had more space thanks to the card I bought.

At night - or whenever we stopped at the room- I would DOWNLOAD the pictures into the computer, FREEING the camera so that we could take even more shots.

By trips end, we had over 400 digital photos of our trip!! Of course maybe 150 or so were worth the effort. But I have saved them all onto a disk, ordered a great bound book of the best ones to preserve, and will soon share some that I've posted on the internet with any of you folks that might be interested in seeing them. (Just haven't had the time to do it the way I want to, yet).

The book we ordered is a souvenir in and of itself. I pasted the map of our hotel (DAKL) into the back of it as a reminder. You can email me for details if you'd like to find out more on how we did that.

In short - take pictures. And take more. And don't forget - it's a DIGITAL camera. Dont like the picture you just took? TAKE IT AGAIN! You're not using any film. Just keep an eyeon your available disk space.

Hope this helps

:)

Thanks so much. I am a novice with the digital camera. It is just a cheap one a Polaroid Max PDC640CF. It only has 2mb of memory and says it will hold at least 33 pictures in the largest format. I really need advice on picture size, memory cards, anything would help. Perhaps you could email me or something. I would really love to see your pics and hear all about your album and trip.l Leslie

Well, I guess better late than never. As promised, here are some photos we took on our recent trip (in May) with the digital camera. I took nearly 400 pictures, but there's only a fraction of them up here for your enjoyment. And keeping this Disney Themed, I've tried to focus squarely on DAKL.
As you can see there are plenty of wonderful things to capture around you. I might post more someday (different ones).
These will be up for about a month or so. Enjoy!

geeman those are great pictures.:D

I took my digital camera and take as many pictures as I can, usually of any and everything. Then when I come back home I down load them on my computer and also hook my camera to the TV/VCR and record a slideshow on a VHS tape. It is cool to show people without having to pass photo albums around.:D

Geeman-I loved your pictures. We are ready to load the car for our trip! I showed my husband your pictures and he said next time we are staying at AKL! That is great news for me because Disney is not his favoirtie place (unlike me)!

Thanks to all for the nice compliments. Maybe someday I'll be able to put up pictures of the rest of the parks, other than DAKL.
It's 90 something degrees out where I am right now (NYC). Where's that pool when I need it???!! :)
