Half way mark btw Houston & Orlando
Since my DSis is bringing her beloved 4 legged companion with her on our trip she is going to be driving from Houston, TX. I also have another sis in Houston and 2 nieces who were all planning to fly but may consider driving with her. I am trying to help them with the pros and cons of traveling by car and I suggested maybe they can stop half way. Does anyone know the half way mark between Houston & Orlando?

Depending on what time she leaves, where she'd like to stop, etc...
There's Mobile, Alabama; Pensacola, Florida (Ferry Pass); and Tallahassee, Florida is about 2/3 of the way. Hope this helps.

I think Mobile AL is your best bet, about 8 to 9 hours from Houston, and another 8 to 9 to Orlando from Mobile depending how often you stop.

Kphil89, we live near Austin and we Always make it Mobile, and sometimes we go through to Pensecola. Being 3 hours east of us in Houston, I think you will have NO PROBLEM getting to Pensecola. It should take you around 9 hours (depending on speed. My hubby tends to drive about 10mph over the speed limit)
