What if DC ran Disney?

Hey to my DC pals... I wanted to say one more time how glad I am that I met you all and that you are out there loving the Mouse. I enjoy reading everything in the forums.
And as I read the posts about a little of the shine falling off Disney, I always get this little fantasy that we could all step in and save the day. We would roll up our sleeves and step in at all levels of the empire: from the board room to the popcorn cart. Just the absolute love of Disney would give us all we need to refurbish the movie efforts, clean up the parks, beef up the stock prices, reopen the stores with the best goodies... you know, do it right. I know DC has an impressive bunch of people: accountants, lawyers, doctors, engineers, chemists, gardeners, and the all important people-people. I wonder if DC could pull it off?

Re: What if DC ran Disney?

We would do an excellent job. Someone sign me up for this if we are ever asked to do it. How cool would that be? I would love being able to run the magic!

I'm there. I already do my own landscaping at home, so I'll be the amateur gardener.

Re: What if DC ran Disney?

That is exactly what is needed....true compassion for the entire empire and it would be as it should be...down to the very last detail! I wouldn't be suprised if many of the employees or should I say cast members....are only "there" for the "pay check".
If they lack the "heart" which is the foundation for any job done well......if they lack the "heart" they also lack that internal "heart beat" that pumps them up to perform their very personal best and to be their very personal best.
What bothers me the most are the ungrateful ones....the ones that take their "job" for granted.... the ones that are there just for the paycheck. I think it is really obvious to pick out those that "wished they didn't have to be there"...vs......those that feel blessed to be a part of the magic! Unfortunately, from the hotel's front desk to the waitress at the restaurant......we, the guest, are always subjected to their personal state of mind. We either are honestly greeted with that genuine smile driven by someone who is so happy that we are able to share in the magic that they experience regularly or we have to deal with that ungrateful one that just wanted to stay home but "had" to be there. It it so true. Just think about it. The housekeepers that take the time to make the cute little toothbrush holders for example....are doing their best to spread that Disney magic, giving us that little extra touch.
Since we are " running " the empire now....maybe everyone and everything will be as it should!

Matt for Mayor of Main Street

Bare minimum, what we need is a to clean up Main Street!

Peeling paint and cracked streets are UNACCEPTABLE!

The current administration is asleep at the wheel.

We need a change people! I can BE that change!

It's fun to dream ain't it?

Re: What if DC ran Disney?

Well I have a little company that refurbishes old houses now, I think I could do the same for Main Street!
