Not sure if I'm in the majority or minority on this one? We are not big Star Wars fans. We will be in MGM (extra magic hour) on the last Saturday of the Star Wars weekends. Will it be packed? Our plan is to only be in MGM for the morning, hit the "e-ticket" attractions, eat lunch, then head over to AK for the afternoon parade.

Is there a website that list the schedule of events?

Should we avoid MGM completely that day due to heavy crowds?

Is anyone going to this this year? I can't so I'm trying to find someone who can help me get something. There's a Jedi Mickey Beanie that I have GOT to have! You can find a picture of it here:

The only reason I would go to Star Wars weekends is to meet the stars of the movies,and to me,the principal stars never come to this,so I don't go.

I'd love to meet Anthony Daniels. Aside from Mark, Carrie, and Harrison, he's the only "main" character I haven't met and gotten an autograph from. I envy anyone who gets to go and meet him. I wanted to go so badly this year...

I wouldn't put 'us' Star Wars fans in a majority or minority. We just are. LOL. Over the past 27 years, it's been put up, put down, and put all over the place, so I was so pleased to see that the turnout for these events has been rather huge.
That said, though, if you're going during the last weekend, it's so difficult to say. I've always gone nearer to the start of it, and the crowds were busy - but realize, it was busy for the events, not necessarily for the park. I remember being able to WALK onto Star Tours a couple of times as well as visit all my MGM favorites (is there really that much there anymore?) many times. You'll probably be dealing more with Summer crowds than SW crowds by then, particularly since the celebrities that weekend are relatively minor in the SW collective. Very hard to say what to expect.
NEXT YEAR, when the final movie comes out, if there is an event, I would expect to be more crowded than this year.

I will be there the first weekend. THere are only 3000 of these being made (all which I am sure will disappear that first weekend). I already told dgf that if there's ONE souvenir we have to bring back it's that, and unfortunately, I have to get one for a) us, b) my super obsessed friend who can't go, and c) my little Star Wars/Disney loving 5 year old niece (who will get mine if I can't get another). I can't see how they think there'll be enough for all, but who knows?
PM me, and I will definitely keep an eye out. Unfortunately, I'm packing REALLY light for the weekend, so I can't take lots of orders. But I agree, it's a must-have

I was sad that they came out with the list AFTER I made my reservation - but I couldn't have gone Memorial Day weekend anyway (when Anthony is there). He's also my favorite (He's the man in the golden robot C-3PO, for all you non-fans)

As a side note - I got to meet Mark a decade ago. If I didn't post it already, it was a fun, but nutty meeting.

mickaholic, while I agree the calibre of guests Could have been better, I think it's neat that any of them would make an appearance at all.

We are simply going for the fun of it, as well as to relax and rest for the remainder of the time.
