Help with the rules.... Please?

*sigh* I am not a dumb blonde - but I am blonde and I can't get them to work! Are there NO rules? I'm just confused!

Apparently I need to read them as I seem to be p***ing people off without even know I am doing something wrong? There's a thread where people are making fun of me (including someone who's a moderator? I think) so I'm wondering what sort of booboo I made.

Just very confused.... Even if someone could PM me the rules...please?

I have no trouble following rules here but it's hard to when you don't knwo exactly what they are, LOL.

EDIT:

UUUUUGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nevermind, just saw the sticky thread about this one. I was trying to access it from a link that is apparently no good anymore or something. I feel so dumb! Someone delete this or something! (I don't see where I broke any of those rules though....whew!)

Re: Help with the rules.... Please?

I know from reading your posts you felt like you were being attacked. I don't post as much as the others I just read mostly. But, it didn't seem to me that you were being attacked. No one knew before that you are unemployed and have a chronic illness until you said so.

I think that you need to start fresh and just move on.

This is a very helpful group and I've not seen really any intentional meanness on anyone's part.

I know one of my first posts I felt sort of "attacked" because we're going to "the other park". But once I realized that they were just defending their true love of Disney although admittedly a little fanatic sometimes no one meant me personally any harm. As no one meant you any harm they were just defending someone they've known for a long time who is not a mean spirited person.

I hope that you continue with DC and get lots of useful information and can help others too with your insights.

I hope you find this helpful.

Re: Help with the rules.... Please?

Let's just all remember that it is very hard to express yourself in type sometimes. Not everyone has the gift of that. I surely don't and unintentionally upset people. I would never disrespect anyone on here for any reason until a verbal attack was made on me and that has only a few times in the almost two years I have been a member. You posted with inappropriate (intials meaning a curse). Not a big deal around adults, but we have many kids who are members too. That was the only thing I saw. Just try to remember that everyone is different here with different ideas and opinions. Just becasue someone states something that is different from what you think, it's not a put-down or an insult. I love the difference in us all. It makes this site interesting to have alternative opinions and ideas. There is no need to call anyone rude or a snob as you did in one of your posts becasue they see something differently than you. I think you said it best when you said that after we get to know you and you us, then it will be easier to communicate our ideas and opinons. Let's just start this over.

Hi. I am Dana . Welcome to Disney Central. I hope you find you like it here. The people on this site are great and honest and most of all people I consider to be firends, so if I defend them keep that in mind. It's a pleasure to have you here. I hope you find us helpful.

Well I posted an introduction where I was supposed to but it seems like no one actually reads those, and no I don't feel attacked except in the disabilities thread, ironically.

And I haven't seen any kids posting here and I'm a naughty girl and use those letters What The Fluff all the time and forgot they are BAD. Mr. Uppity Moderator gave me a good scolding so I have been punished and learnt my lesson, tsk tsk on me. hee hee

Anyway, after I read the rules, if anything it's the few Rudies here who are breaking them, not me. So I'm not longer concerned about it. I'm here to stay and I'm not going to kiss b***s while I'm here.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone, toodle-loo for now . . .

Re: Help with the rules.... Please?

Eeyores-Girl,
my dd (brer rabbit) posts on here and she is (soon to be on Wed.) 11. I think that is what everyone was trying to say, and BTW I don't mind sharing eeyore as long as you give him plenty of hugs. Just be respectful and everything will be OK, and don't take things that are said personally, I have encountered the same thing and you just have to take some things with a grain of salt.

Welcome to the site and enjoy yourself. Everyone here is very welcoming and morethan willing to provide and info that they have about Disney and how to save money and enjoy yourself on a budget.

I have no trouble with people having a different opinion, the world would be so boring if we all thought and did the same things....

I haven't jumped on anyone for their opinions at all, I just don't like having my ethics and morals questioned because my opinion varies from someone else's. It's my opinions that seem to be bothering others, not the other way around!

Just ignore me if you don't like what I think, I don't care.

No, it had nothing to do with a difference of opinion, it had to do with the way they treat others - not just me.

I got a lot of PMs backing me up on that post, from others who must feel the same way and might not be comfortable addressing it opening. One specifically said she wouldn't say anything as she'd been attacked by this person before and it had really upset her and she kpt it to herself.

That's a shame when you think about it. No one should have hurt feelings on a DISNEY site!

But that goes both ways too . . .

Nice to meet you, Dana - I'm Eeyore's Girl and I love my leopard spots (even though I don't know what they are, LOL!)

If I see Brer Rabbit I will be sure to say a warm birthday wish and hello! I taught preschool for ten years, I love kids of all ages and have loads of respect for them. And May babies are THE BEST - my b-day is the 22nd.

I will definitely give Eeyore loads and loads of hugs because HE NEEDS THEM!!!

Oh and there is a salt shaker right here on my desk, I always keep one handy. LOL
