Photoshop question
I always see the picture threads and I would like to share. Here is my problem. I have a digital camera and Photoshop. I learned that I need to convert it to a jpeg image (thank you ZarSu). When I make the image smaller - under 100KB, right? - my picture is tiny. How do I reduce image file size without making my picture so little?
Yes, I know there is an owner's manual, but that would probably take forever and I know there are techno geniuses on this site. Any help? |

Re: Photoshop question
I have both Photoshop 7 and CS for the mac, but the process should be the same on any version/platform. First, go to the Image menu, and then image size. You can set the size of the image there. Three boxes, heigth, width and resolution. Make sure the first two are in pixels, and the resolution is set to 72 or 90. If the image is tall, then set height to 400. If it is wide, set width to 500. Those are the maximum sizes.
Then, once it is changed, go to the view menu and zoom out until you are at 100% (it should show that right above the image in the title bar. Let me know if you have any other questions.
