I don't use myspace either so I don't get the whole public conversation either. I'll still use PMs.

if i want to have a "public convo." i will just post in a thread in the forums.

i have a feeling most people will continue to use PM's over the "friends" option.

Similar. It's a social networking 'tool.' The comments left by others on your "wall" are supposed to be seen by the general public, just like people on myspace/facebook leave comments.

I love the photo album aspect though. The friend/wall thing is nice, but I hope it doesn't cause ill feelings.

Thanks for posting this, I had a request (just one!) but I would have never thought to check it! I wish Mickey would post all the new features, would make it easier. I DID NOT get an email either . . . wonder if there is an area to set that up?

I haven't been around for a few weeks and I was afraid to ask what this was! I had no idea that it was for all to see! I'm glad I didn't post anything dirty to any of my buddies!....not that I would....

And also.....I am invisible and cannot get it off! When I log back in after clicking the check mark off I am still invisible - it must be somehting with my computer.

The feature reminds me of that other site we all checked out . . . what was it called? DisFriends or something . . . remember? Where is the invisible button? I think you have to hit save changes before you log out?

I did all that - I just installed a new upgrade to my computer and the firewall has been really touchy.

I don't remember Disfreinds - I have to check it out. I requested you as a friend, BTW. Please be my friend........

I did it a long time ago - it's under UserCP - profile picture - different than avatar picture.

i just added a profile picture...i recently cut off my long hair for the summer, so i had DH take a picture so it's a current shot.

also added a photo album. i think that feature is really neat.

hopefully it will be a way let my "friends" get to know me a little better! :)

(i made mine private, just available to contacts and mods.)

I saw that right after the upgrade and thought the same thing! I don't have any friends!!!!

That explains it. At least I don't feel so bad knowing its a new feature.

I put on a photo album on too. All about our mini meet & greet here in May

i went in and added my friends as contacts...i think it is separate, because after i did it , there was a check mark in a box on top of their avatar.
