The Disney Vacation Club has most of it's resorts around Walt Disney World.

Name the 5 places where Disney purchased land with the intent to build new vacation clubs that are not at WDW.

(hint, some may or may not have been built)

Darn it!!!!!! My computer is slow as dirt!!!!! I knew 4 but were stuck on one. ASked my DH and took FOREVER!!! Oh Well I'll try again on sat!!!LOL!!! Congrats to the winners already!!!!

Congrats! Technically, it is Newport Beach, but the it is the Newport Coast, and actually, the name of the Marriott Resort that is built on the land Disney had purchased.

Times Square??????? No way! How cool. I noticed they have a DVC rep in the WOD store NYC, maybe that is a hint of things to come?

Actually, all 5 of these places were purchased in the mid-90's, Hilton Head and Vero Beach were built, and then Disney decided not to expand beyond what they had, and at the time, probably a good idea. The Newport Beach land was sold to Marriott, and the Times Square property is now part of the ABC studios. For those who are interested, it has been reported that DVC has announced a future property at the Disneyland Resort, but there is nothing official to be found.
