Sea World for Adults

I'm 26, Pete is 31, and he's never done Sea World. I did it when I was 8. Is Sea World fun for adults? Am I cheating Pete by never taking him? Should I take a day in Jan. when we're back in FL to go?

Re: Sea World for Adults

Jenny -

On my honeymoon in '96, we visited SeaWorld. We had a great time. I actually think it's a better park for adults than for children. As for taking a day in Jan to go - well, Orlando isn't the only place that has SeaWorld, so you might not want to give up a "Disney" day for it.

Re: Sea World for Adults

The original Sea World is in San Diego, and there is another one in San Antonio. I have been to the one in Orlando and San diego - I really enjoy them. I think the shamu show is fantastic - I always get a lump in my throat. And the otter and sea lion show is a hoot! I guess this type of park is not for everyone, but my husband and I like it!!

San Deigo, San Antonio and - Virginia I think. I think it's a part of Bush Gardens - I might be mistaken.

Re: Sea World for Adults

Jenny, we have one about 90 minutes away from us in San Antonio. It is GREAT for adults. I would recommend going at Halloween time. Sea World rolls out the red carpet for a "spooktacular" time!!! Go to www.seaworld.com for locations and details.

I,personally, would not pull a day away from Disney for Sea World, especially since we live so close. But it looks like you don't have one very near to you, so I would recommend adding an extra day on to your trip to go. You won't be disappointed!!! The one near us has GREAT roller coasters too!

Re: Sea World for Adults

There is a sea world in ohio too, jenny. I have never gone to that one but have gone to the orlando one several times. I think it is a great park for adults. My DH especially likes "beer school" at the anheiser-busch pavilion. They teach you how they make beer and then give away free samples. They have good shows and entertainment, a couple of rides, and of course the shark exhibit and shamu. You would both enjoy it I am sure.

Re: Sea World for Adults

We (me and dh) love Sea World. I think it is a good full day. I think we spent at least 2 days.

Re: Sea World for Adults

DW & I are 35 & 36. We did Sea World last December. Although it is definately a quality park, we both agreed we'd would have rather spent the park admission on an extra day at Disney.

However, my 34yo brother loves SeaWorld, and would rather go there than MK.
