WDW vacation has come to an end

Well, I'm back from my WDW vacation. While a part of me misses WDW and all the magic, I'm glad to be home with the part of my family that couldn't come, my 2 dogs, 3 cats and parrot.

I guess I'll start with day 1 (makes sense right).

August 12- Monday

The alarm went off at 3:30 am and Jennifer (my sister), Patrick (my brother-in-law), Paula (my 7 year old) and myself all got are very tired but excited bodies out of bed. We left the house at 4:30 and thankfully were on our plane and in the sky at 7:00am (right on time).

We landed at the Orlando airport at 9:15am and after getting our luggage and the Mears bus we were off to the Carribean Beach Resort. Once we arrived we had to wait about 45 min. before we were able to talk to the next available rep (it was very busy in the lobby). But the man at the counter was very nice and got us a room right away even though check-in is not until 3pm!!!!

After getting settled into our room, Jennifer, Paula and myself went to the Concourse Steakhouse for lunch while Patrick went off the play golf. Lunch was nice and Paula really enjoyed watching the monorail go through the resturant. Me and Jennifer shared a very tasty pizza with peppers, onions and provalone cheese.

After lunch we headed to the Magic Kingdom and arrived just has the parade was starting and took this opportunity to catch some rides. We first caught the Pirates of the Carribean with no line at all, just walked right up and got on the next boat. Then we headed for fantasy land and went on Snow White. By that time the parade had ended and we found out that the park was really pack. We decided to leave because we knew we were coming back on Friday (E-ride night).

We just made it back to our room when a major thunderstorm come through. It did rain the entire night but we took the chance and went to MGM (with our beautiful yellow ponchos of course). We rode RnR coaster (Paula's favorite) and the Tower of Torror which she also really enjoyed. At ten to 9 we walk right into Fantasmic and sat the 5th row from the bottom in the middle section and in the rain watch the show. It was still great.

Well that was day one, stay tunned tomorrow for day two:)

Awesome mj7379! I'm glad you had a great trip! Watching the monorail go thru the lobby is one of the main reasons why i love the contemporary! The lobby is just amazing isnt it? Cant wait to hear about day 2! This is helping me thru my disney withdrawl, lol.

August 13- Tuesday (Day 2)

We started out the day at Chef Mickey's for a character breakfast. The place was very kid friendly, the characters were great (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, Dale and Goofy), and the food was pretty good.

After breakfast we went to Typhoon Lagoon. I really enjoyed the water park, they had something for everyone. Paula enjoyed swimming with the sharks and tropical fish the most and we had to do it 3 times.

We left the water park around 1pm and did everything (it only took 3 hours). We return to the hotel room, and guess what, it was raining again. We took this opportuny and took a nap.

Luckly for us the rain stopped around 7pm because we were heading to the poly. Luau. This was lots of fun and we had great seat right in front of the middle of the stage with only one family in front of us. The fire dancer had to be the best part of the show and except for Paula who had Mac and cheese, everyone enjoyed the food. My favorite was the fried rice and the ribs.

Right after the show we got a great view from the beach at the Poly to watch the fireworks over the castle which ended our day.:)
