Days Inn Maingate

Has anyone ever stayed here? I have a room booked that I can cancel if need be...would like to know all the pros and cons. We decided we could not afford to stay on site with 3 kids. Please Please help!

Re: Days Inn Maingate

Is this the Days Inn Maingate West? I haven't stayed there, but I have friends meeting us in Orlando in Feb that are thinking of booking here as well. I tried to call them direct tonight and got no answer. I thought that was weird that a hotel wouldn't be answering their phones! And I know I had the right number b/c the automated thing picked up, just when i pressed the number for reservations it rang and rang...What type of room did you book? And where did you make your reservations through? I'd love to hear what everyone thinks on this hotel as well!

Re: Days Inn Maingate

Is that a standard room? (2 double beds) or something larger? They have a 2 1/2 year old and infant, and they were hoping to get a suite or something like that, but two connecting rooms might work for them as well. All the suites I've been finding are over $100 a night! That's a bit high for their budget!

Re: Days Inn Maingate

that's a great rate. Try going to tripadvisor.com to check and see if there are any comments on that hotel. If anything most Days Inn are pretty ok to stay at.

Re: Days Inn Maingate

Amie, although I do not have personal experience with this place, I read a very good review here: http://www.epinions.com/content_125021687428. Another site you may find the information you need is at www.tripadvisor.com. I often check it for input RE: unknown travel destinations. Take what you read as a guide though instead of "gospel truth". Of course, if a place has all negative reviews, I'd be inclined to avoid it!

Re: Days Inn Maingate

It has two double beds and a pull out sofa or a King. It would work for them I'm sure!

Re: Days Inn Maingate

I usually try going to Daysinn.com to get the best rate, and I usually do. Check it out. Days Inn Maingate West will have their own website pretty soon.

Re: Days Inn Maingate

I know you mentioned that staying on site is costly with three kids. What about the value resorts- All-Star. Movies, Pop-Century ? These hotels offer pretty good rates. Could you stay at these for a similar rate as the other hotel. I personally think that staying on-site makes a huge difference. We have stayed at both on and off site and definitely prefer the on-site just because of the atmosphere. WDW has so many varieties of hotel packages that they should pretty much fit any budget. Good Luck!!

Re: Days Inn Maingate

The values made us get two rooms due to 4 people being the limit. They are priced at 90$ per night with my AAA discount. Port Orleans was going to be 141$ per night. So, 49$ doesn't sound too bad, huh.

This is the Days in at Apopka Vineland Rd, Lake Buena Vista. There are so many different ones I thought I might need to be more specific.

Re: Days Inn Maingate

There is no reason why disney should let you stay all in one room, because none of the kids are "adults." I have seen it done where a family of 5 is put in 1 room because of the same thing.
