Cheap hotel/suites near Maingate West?

I've been chatting with a few people in another thread about hotels in the Maingate West area. We will be staying at a 4 bedroom home that my father rented in the Indian Creek/Formosa Gardens subdivision for our trip in Feb. This is located just a few miles from Disney's Maingate West. The problem I have now is that I have friends who live in southern FL coming up to visit us in Kissimmee for a few days and we need to find a reasonable place for them to stay that is close by to where we are staying. They have a 2 1/2 year old son and an infant son and were hoping to get some sort of suite so that the boys would have a seperate room to sleep in. They are on a pretty tight budget, but don't want to stay at a dump either. Has anyone stayed somewhere in this area that could reccomend a decent place to stay with the accomodations they are looking for? I'd appreciate any input!

Have you tried Quality Inn Maingate West or one of the Comfort Suites. Quality Inn has their own website at qualityinnorlando.com (i think) They look pretty neat and are pretty reasonable with ref and microwave for a small fee. Choicehotels.com for the Comfort Suites in that area, they are nice.

I forwarded the info on Quality Inn to them since that seems to be within their budget. The Comfort Suites looked nice, but a little out of their price range I think. Thanks for the reccomendation!

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I always seem to come back to on-site hotels. You prolly won't be able top find anything decent that's any less expensive than a Value Resort (Any of the 3 all-stars or Pop Century).
Think about it.

We have stayed many times at the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista. It is right near the WDW Hotel Blvd. entrance. It is a 2 star hotel but it is very high quality. You can see there sign off the highway and they advertise very cheap walk-up rates. I believe kids eat free at the breakfast buffet and adults are around $6.00 and the food is very good. It has a good Disney energy there because it seems most people there are going to WDW. It has good television service including that WDW channel about all the parks. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable.

I know I'm chiming in late here, but last year I got a nice room in the maingate area for $24/night off of www.priceline.com You might want to look into it.
