Hotels near Universal

We decided to extend our stay by one day and visit Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure. We'll check out of our room at the Polynesian early in the am and head to the park before opening. We plan to spend the whole day at Islands of Adventure and want to find a room REALLY CLOSE by the park to sleep in for the night. I want CLEAN and CONVENIENT. Any suggestions?

Go for either the Royal Pacific or Hard Rock Hotel. They're both within walking distance of the parks, and, because they're official Universal Hotels, you get to use UniversalExpress. It works like FastPass, only better. Just go up to a ride, show your room key, and get in the UE line-no coming back at a certain time. Have a great trip.:)

Thanks wdwjeff. I'll check them both out. Do they have anything else like fast pass for non US hotel guests?

I checked rates and the least expensive room was at the Royal Pacicic $159/night. It looks really nice but a lot more than we wanted to spend for our add on night. I guess we'll be staying off property! I don't know that area at all and would like to know of a less expensive room that is as close as possible but clean. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Universal Hotels

I looked on Hotels.com and here is a list I thought you might like

Universal Inn $39.95 a night and only a block away from Universal.

Crowne Plaza Universal $69.95 and a mile from Universal.

Hampton Inn $45.95 and 2 miles from Universal.

Holiday Inn Express Intl-Dr $59.95 and a mile from Universal.

So if you get a chance look on Hotels.com or try Priceline.com.

Did you look on the Universal studios site for tickets? I have and they have a special on a 5 day pass for 89.95 for an adult and 76.98 for kids.

Hope this has been helpful.

Jessie
