Seaworld - Good Places to eat lunch

Ok, leaving WDW for a day at Seaworld. Was on their site and looking at the different menu choices of places to eat and also grab a snack later in the day. Any good suggestions for lunch and snack?

Re: Seaworld - Good Places to eat lunch

When we were there, I felt SeaWorld's dining options were very limited. There were some pricey-sit by sea animal meals. We ate at some buffet line type place. Okay food, but nothing great.

Re: Seaworld - Good Places to eat lunch

I hate to say this...but my lunch meal at Sharky's Grill last year when we ventured out to SeaWorld for a day was better than any meal we had the whole time at WDW!!! Request a seat by the tank, make priority seating arrangements and enjoy the sharks swimming by as you eat some fantastic food.

Re: Seaworld - Good Places to eat lunch

Seaworld's food has improved a lot over the last couple of years. Several new restaurants have opened up in the new "Waterfront" section. Problem is - I don't remember their names. Just walk along the waterfront and choose. Most are cafeteria style and reasonably priced. I hate to admit it, but Seaworld's food is better than WDW. They also have a restaurant in the "Terror of the Deep" shark exhibit, where you eat among the acquariums of sharks.

SeaWorld also has one great bakery. Try the dark chocolate layer cake. Heaven!

Re: Seaworld - Good Places to eat lunch

DH and DS are a little picky, more DH though. I always try to find somewhere that has something for everyone which can be difficult at times. We really aren't sit down lunchers, more grab, eat and go. I'd love to have a meal with Shamu or the sharks, I'll have to approach DH with that one. Thanks

Great thing about the Shamu buffet is that they do have something for everyone. There is a seperate kids table (of course, picky adults can eat here too) and the main spread has exotic to vaguely familiar fare. Of course the real treat is the closeness to the killer whales and the one on one with the trainers.

I will have to agree that the buffet meal is probably a better choice for the picky eaters, however I still maintain that the food at Sharky's Grill is excellent. The Shamu Meal was just ok, the actual trainer part only lasted like 15 minutes and you don't really see anything different out of the whale that is not done at the main show...and you are not an closer than if sitting in the front rows during the main show. Overall DW and DS were not that impressed, in fact afterwards they said we should have just gone back and eaten at Sharky's Grill

Guess it's very opinionated. It was the best experience we have ever had. Not sure what that says but we have talked about it non stop ever since. You are up close like front row but without the splashes. Plus they have four to five Killer Whales in the tank.

I very much want to do the Shark Restaurant too, but I can only talk about what I have done. Again, it's a rare opportunity.

Re: Seaworld - Good Places to eat lunch

Now I don't know which to pick. The sharks or Shamu????? I am going to bring them up to DH and see how he feels about either. I have already driven him nuts with the PS' for WDW. I might be pushing it with Seaworld too:) Stay tuned?!?

Sharkey's: Coral Reef with only sharks in the tank. Menu is more interesting. I'd eat there again.

Re: Seaworld - Good Places to eat lunch

Go up to the Anheiser Busch Pavailion for beer boiled grilled bratworsts or a huge roast beef sandwich. Also a free taste of the golden beverage that made St. Louis famous.
