Drop-off Laundry?

DH and I decided to rent a convertible for our trip as a surprise for the kids. Because of limited trunk space, we have decided to pack less and do laundry mid-trip. Someone had suggested that instead of spending hours in a laundry room, I try to find a place to drop off laundry where they charge per pound. Does anyone one know of such a place near Universal or Sea World?

Re: Drop-off Laundry?

Where are you staying? I know WDW has laundry service right to your room. My DW & I make laundry a pool day! It does take a couple of hours though, but it beats paying for it. Just be careful if your staying off site going to just any laundry place.

Re: Drop-off Laundry?

WDW always has the laundry facilities by the pool which makes it really convienent. You can just throw in a load while the kids swim and sip a margarita while it washes and drys. I always bring my own detergent/fabric softener. We always do a couple of loads because I hate bringing home stinky laundry. I think they also have a laundry service but it will cost you a fortune.

Re: Drop-off Laundry?

We are staying at the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal and then moving to the Renaissance at Sea World. RPR does have a laundry room, but I was hoping to find a drop-off place that charges per pound (would be much cheaper than hotel service for a family of 4! )

Re: Drop-off Laundry?

Hmm...Why not call the hotel and ask? I'm sure they must know of somewhere locally that could do that for you.

Thanks Karliebug! That's probably what I'll end up doing.

Just wanted to thank you all for replying. It's keeping up my spirits about my countdown dragging along
