Convenient hotel outside the park

We will be arriving late the night before we plan to enter the park. We will need a hotel that's easy to find in the middle of the night, close the entrance to the park and not too pricey. A good breakfast before we go to the park would be nice too. I don't ask for much ;) .

Any recommendations?

Radisson Resort

I have stayed at the Radisson which is real close to the parks and we really liked it alot... we could actually see some of the Disney landmarks from our room and breakfast for kids is free...
I have a review posted on my site.

There are actually several nice hotels in the area surrounding Disney but most are kinda expensive... I liked Radisson because of the *free* stuff they offer.

Has anyone else stayed here? I'm curious to hear if this resort is consistant...

I am a travel agent and have stayed there and booked people the reviews seem to be consistent. There are some great rates there especially now. I have seen it as low as 69.00/nt. I think this hotel is better than staying at a cheaper WDW hotel like the All Star Resorts.

It sounds like the Radisson is a good choice, but I thought I would also plug a hotel that we liked. We stayed at the Sheraton Safari, on Apopka-Vineland. It's close to the Downtown Disney area, there are several decent restaurants nearby (we like Chevy's) but most of all, it had a great water slide for the pool - a long tube that was made to look like a giant snake. The theme of the hotel was cool too. The kids loved it. It was $75 a night I think. We tend to try to stay on site normally, but this was a nice place.

I saw that hotel around. I was wondering if it was good. You could get it for 69.00. Don't know when you are going but they have a weekend rate for 69.00.

Mousesavers is reporting that there is a special at the Doubletree Suites, which includes a one bedroom suite and breakfast for up to 6 people for $99 per night up until December 19th.

This is a great Downtown Disney hotel, and will be easy to find and as close to Disney as possible.

DoubleTree Suites deal

By the way, the Radisson is really pushing itself right now with a lot of the Disney web sites, so you wil see it advertised and promoted everywhere.

When we arrive in Orlando, our flight usually comes in near midnight, so we usually stay somewhere near the airport. The Sheraton Suites was very nice, and they have a shuttle as well.
