1 night offsite, suggestions?

Hi

Just looking for some input (as always)

We have decided to take a later flight down to Orlando next year. Normally we are up at 3 am in in Orlando by 10 am.

So we are going to fly out at 3pm, which will put us into Orlando around 5:30ish.

I thought it might be a waste of a night to go right to our resort ( we are definately staying on site, not sure where yet).

Any suggestions on where we could spend that first night, what we could do with those few hours of our first night?

Thanks in advance!!

Honestly, I would go to the resort you are going to stay at get settled in and maybe take a trip down the DTD for dinner. I think it could be a time saver for you the next day. Just think you will have everything unpacked and set up and can wake up and conquer the "world" without having to do the check-in process again. If that isn't an option for you, perhaps just go to a value for a night like PC or All stars.

I agree with Dana. The sooner you get on-site, the sooner you start having fun. I've never done what you are suggesting, but it seems like a hassle.

Good job, Dana & Jeff!! Nice arm twisting!!

We did what you were thinking of doing a couple of years ago and it worked fine for us, we were checked in to WL by 8 am and off to see the magic.

This year we were going to stay in a value resort on our first night since we are getting in at 8 pm. It took a couple of weeks for me to decided to move that night over to WL with the rest of our week. I didn't want to waste time moving resorts and not having a room until after 3pm on our second day.

I agree with Jeff and Dana, get to your resort and start your vacation!!

Well, Dana and Jeff already talked you into it....but that's what we do too. We usually get there in the evening, get checked in and head to DTD for dinner and a little shopping. That way we're ready to go bright and early the next morning!!
