Cirque du Soleil seating challenge

Hi Everyone! Happy Holdays!

I have a small problem. I booked a single seat at Cirque du Soleil. Then I looked at the seating chart. The seat that was assigned is right on the stage, front row.

Great seat? Bad seat? My first instinct was to switch seats for a seat on the second tier, near the back. Upon calling guest services, I found out that switching seats is not allowed once the arrangement has been made. Is this true? The gentleman told me that the seats are non-refundable and non-transferrable. I wasn't even allowed to cancel one and rebook another seat.

Yes, it is true. They have a very simple policy, one you buy the ticket, it is yours. Minnie went last year and their seats were on the second row. The only difficulty is that many of the acts are in the air, so they were looking up some of the time, but most of the stuff is on the ground right in front of you, so you will be able to see their faces and hear everything they say. It should be great!

I don't think there is a bad seat in that house! I went a few years ago and had 2nd row and it was awsome! I would sit in the highest row in the corner if I had to, just to see thise show! I think you have a fantastic seat! Like Mickey said, you can see and understand everything that is going on, I loved watching the expressions on their faces...........so close.

Oh, BTW, when I first bought my tickets, I thought I they were WAY overpriced.....well withing 5 mins of the show, I would have paid double!

I have seen the Allegria show but not the one at Disney. What is it called? We are going to try and go on our trip in a few weeks. The Allegria show was totally awesome and I imagine this one is too!

It is called Cirque du Soleil at Downtown Disney West Side. You can make reservations by calling 407-939-7600.
