Buena Vista Suites

During my trip to WDW in September for Labor Day Weekend, my family and I stayed at the Buena Vista Suites and I want to recommend it for anyone looking for a great value at a nice hotel!

Our room rate was only $77.00 per night (through DreamRes) for a Queen Suite with hot breakfast buffett for everyone each day. We checked in early afternoon and were promptly given a room. When we walked in, it was obviously a smoking room from the odor and so I picked up the phone and called the front desk asking for a non-smoking room. By the time we traveled down in the elevator, the rooms had been switched and we were handed new keys and an apology. It all took about 30 seconds! Very nice!

The room was a great size for 3 adults and 2 kids and all of our things, including a wheelchair. There was an actual living room with tv, refrig, microwave, and sink. The room was clean and decent, but was not glitzy by any means. We were located directly in front of the elevators which initially concerned me about noise, but we had no problems even though the hotel was sold out.

Breakfast the next day was also pretty good (and free!). It was not gourmet at all, but there were cold and hot choices and the quality was fine for us just trying to fill up before our day at the park.

Although we didn't take a dip, the pool was nice with access to the bar outside and plenty of towels. The staff was always very friendly in every location. A call for extra room towels was immediately serviced.

The hotel is located about 2 or 3 miles from the entrance to Downtown Disney and about 5 miles from Epcot! Very convenient. There is a brand new Super Walmart around the corner and numerous restaurants everywhere!

I will be staying there next weekend and for Thanksgiving, too! I am hoping the service is just as good (if it's not - I'll post it here).

Finally, although I did not book my room with them directly again this time, they saved my email address from when I checked in last month and yesterday they sent me a message about our upcoming visit and included complimentary drinks at the bar at check-in when showing the printed email. Kongaloosh!!

Re: Buena Vista Suites

Thanks for the info, I looked at this hotel online before our last trip but went with WL as it was just my son and I this time. However next year there will more of us and this sounds like the place to stay.

Re: Buena Vista Suites

Thank you for this post!

My DH and family and I will be staying here in Dec. I am so glad you had a nice review of it.
Other places I have looked at said it was a terrible run down hotel.
All I know is that we need more room, 3 adults, 2 kids, also. We really wanted to go to WDW again, but just cannot justify the rates to stay onsite.
Not to mention...the room...

Thanks again for the review...can't wait to get there.
Lisa

Re: Buena Vista Suites

In December of 1998 we stayed at Buena Vista Suites. It was just me and DH. We liked it and would reccommed it to anyone staying off site. Now that we have a DD and DS it is just much easier to stay onsite! BVS was very roomy and the free breakfast buffet was a bonus!

Re: Buena Vista Suites

This sounds like a great option to those of us with familes of 5. Do they offer shuttle service to the parks?

Re: Buena Vista Suites

Sounds like a great place.
We may stay off site a few days next trip.

Anyone have a link to their website?
Thanks

Here is a link http://www.buenavistasuites.com/

Also saw that they do have a shuttle. When I called the hotel they said their last pick up is at 10:00 p.m., so if you want to stay till the end...like they have to throw you out of WDW, like they do us, that shuttle will not work! :)
