All-You-Can-Eat Lobster??

DH saw this billboard driving into WDW last time...anyone know anything about this restaurant? It's just outside the Disney gates... We're looking at spending our first night off-site (as it's the last day of "peak" season at WDW) and he wants to try this place...I can't remember the name and obviously don't know if it's good or not...

Re: All-You-Can-Eat Lobster??

After some internet searching...I think the one we've seen the signs for is Angel's Lobster and Prime Rib Buffet on Hwy 192. However, I now see there's another lobster buffet on International called Boston Lobster Buffet, I think...anyone know anything about either?

Re: All-You-Can-Eat Lobster??

Orlando has all-you-can-eat lobster places all over. The quality is hit and miss. The lobsters tend to be pretty small. We've eaten a them and loved it. We've eaten at them and wanted our money back the food was so bad. They are spendy ($24/person two years ago.).

I would suggest hunting down a restaurant review page for Orlando on the internet to see what is good and what's not.

Also, I believe the Unofficial Guide rates off-site restaurants, but I'm not a home to check right now.

It's called

Boston Lobster Feast!

It's a HUGE BUFFET filled with NASTY NASTY seafood!

Enjoy :c)

The cars for that restaurant all have giant lobsters on them...it's comical.

Angel's is a bit better, the lobsters are small and alot are without a claw other items were just ok, Boston Lobster Feast we walked in and there was only one other family there. a man of some question just pointed to our table, we sat looked at all the silverware being bent and dirty. We saw only one smallish lobster in a very cloudy tank, we thanked the man and left. We still laugh until tears come to our eyes about that lonely lobster, saying things like it holding up a sign saying "Please kill me"! How is that for the place. Steer clear!

Re: All-You-Can-Eat Lobster??

I'm from Maryland and a seafood fanatic. We went to Angel's during our last trip and on a scale from 1-10 I would give it a 6. The lobsters and crab legs were small but everything else was pretty good. The desserts were on the weak side. I would pick up a coupon book from almost anywhere and get a discount on the buffet so you won't feel you spent too much if you don't like it.

Don't know if it's true, but that's what we were told.

Re: All-You-Can-Eat Lobster??

We've been to the Boston Lobster Feast twice, and it was pretty good both times. I would recommend going early though....cheaper prices.

Re: All-You-Can-Eat Lobster??

DayDreamer and Franco - I can totally sympathize. We are so spoiled by great sea food up here. It makes it hard to go anywhere else and eat your favorite food. I remember when we went to Hawaii on our honeymoon and ordered lobster tail. It was pacific lobster and we were so dissappointed. Then a couple of days later we saw a restaurant sign that advertised Fresh Maine Lobster. Well, I've learned that no mater how hard you try you can only serve Fresh Maine Lobster in Maine!

Re: All-You-Can-Eat Lobster??

Mmmm seafood - I'm all in. I've never seen the sign, nor have I eaten at the places mentioned, so I have no clue. Seems kinda hit and miss though. But I've heard of Boston Lobster. ? Backup could always be Red Lobster.

As long I get some crab legs.... and some cheddar biscuits... and a baked potato with salt sticking to it... and...

Re: All-You-Can-Eat Lobster??

after reading this thread, I think I would rather eat a cold burger from McDonald's! eeeewwwww... bad seafood! Very risky!

Offsite, we love love love Steak & Shake... it's so yummy! It's just outside the WDW entrance on 435... Turn left as you leave the WDW gates, and go about 3 intersections and it's on the right. This is a popular chain form the midwest, and the food is cheap and great -- the shakes are wonderful!
