Itinerary Question....!

Hello once again!! My type A personality has just about finished my itinerary for our 1st of May trip! (YAY!) I had a couple of questions though for those who might know..! Thanks in advance!

1. If I had nothing else to do...would Seaworld be best experienced on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday? (this depends on when I go to AK!)

2. Which days would be best for Universal/IOA?
Monday -- Universal
Thursday -- IOA

or

Wednesday -- Universal
Thursday -- IOA

I'm trying to build them around my preferred Disney days!! Thanks again!

Re: Itinerary Question....!

I highly suggest going to the WDW parks durning the week and leaving the other parks for the weekend. I have no idea which day is better to tour either. I just think the crowds at WDW are higher on the weekends especially when it's nice out.

You'll find attendance is higher at all the parks on weekends. That's when the locals go.

As for weekdays, I doubt it makes much difference which weekday you choose. They don't have the EMH's like Disney does.

Re: Itinerary Question....!

According to the folks who run touringplans.com, their research has shown that Saturday actually is a pretty good day to visit Disney because it ranks no higher than fourth (Epcot) on the list of busiest days at each park. The reason? Saturday is a travel day for many vacationers, and most families (71 percent, according to 2003 statistics) drive to Orlando. Their statistics also don't bear out the theory that locals swamp the parks on weekends. According to their research, only 11 percent of domestic leisure visitors in Orlando come from Orlando and that visitors from the surrounding areas of Florida tend to visit WDW as part of a general vacation rather than a getaway weekend, thus spreading their impact out over several days rather than just Saturday and Sunday.

These statistics bear out what I once was told by a supervisor who worked in WDW Security -- that the best days to visit were the weekends.

No way PH!!
When we were there last May, the weekdays were wonderful.
The Saturday we were there was the busiest of all!!!
I always just figure that weekends are busy EVERYWHERE.

So they can appreciate Disney just that much more!

btw....SeaWorld is a cool park. It's no Disney, but definitely worth a visit.

I'm sure there are exceptions to everything. I'm just reporting what the so-called experts say.
