Oh my goodness, are you serious! I am way to phobic of crowd masses pressing in to want to be anywhere near that store for at least 2 weeks!

A lot of times when they open a store, the first however-many number of people get a generous gift card. So it can be worth it! (Not that I'd do it. I like to know where the bathroom is! )

Yay! We'll have an Ikea when we're down there!

Ikea text adventure strategy guide (has naughty language, beware!)

David
Now you are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike. A skeleton, probably the remains of a luckless consumer, lies here. Beside the skeleton is a rusty SKARPT high-quality steel knife with hard plastic handle and a shopping cart. Search the body. Take the IKEA GIFT CARD (still has $43 on it). Take and eat the SWEDISH FISH for sustenance. Now...

I just went to IKEA for the first time...the place is so darn huge!!! I've decided it will be a fun trip with the kids during the summer. We can wander around for hours and then go get some cheap food at the restaurant.

Was it the IKEA in Orlando? I am anxious to know if this is done yet. I'd love to stop by on our next trip! I love Ikea.com

Didn't even know what lingenberries were until last year when the Dtwins were doing a Texas History project based on how their ancestors came to Texas. Since we knew very little on my husbands side of the family (and they carry his name) we thought it would be a great opportunity to know the background on the family name. His family comes from Sweden too...and his dad's cousin is still VERY into the Swedish traditions, foods, etc so we looked her up and went to her house and she fed us all sorts of Swedish foods she makes/keeps on hand at all times and we tried lingenberries. Pretty good! So you're saying they sell them at IKEA????? Interesting. Guess we'll have to check that out the next time we stop there (pass by one every day on the way to work). Thanks for the info Tigger!

OMG, I always have lingonberries at the house. In Denmark and northern Germany they mix them with a really nice wipped cream and serve that as a side thing with Herring.(just one of the many uses for lingonberries)

I can see your faces now

We do the same thing...I live herring with lingonberries (not a big fan of mixing in the whipped cream but have been known to do it from time to time).

(my DW has turned me on to sardines, I still like herring better )

I like cranberries but love lingonberries.

Yeah, you had me up until the "herring". I mean, one or the other sounds okay, but together? Really?
