La Nouba show

Hi all,
was looking for some advise. My wife is a cast member and it looks like now to get her discount for the La Nouba show you must show up at the box office 1 hour prior to show times to see if additional tickets are available.
We are planning to see the show in early May.
My question is ...does this show sellout alot????? Should I skip the money savings thing or holdout for the best deal?????
Please help. Thanks Terry

I beleive that it isn't uncommon for the performances to sell out. It was pretty much sold out last time we were there. They do have two performances each night, and the later show usually isn't as crowded. I guess it would depend upon how much money you save as a cast member. If it is only a couple of dollars, I would call ahead as far as you can and just pay for tickets. You'll get a better seat, and you won't have to worry about it. Tickets are $67 each, so if you save a good percentage of that, it would be worth taking a chance.

You can call the box office at (407) 939-7600, and they are dark on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The show itself is out of this world, and definitely a great night out. Let us know how things go.

I'd just like to add a little bit to what Mickey already wrote:

We were in DD one night and walked by Cirque and decided to see if there were any available seats for the next show (2nd show on a Thursday night). I think it was an hour or 90 minutes before showtime. We had no problem purchasing four seats together. This was during a very busy week in February 2001. It was very crowded. Our seats were fine.

If the discount you receive is a good one (Actually, I should reword that since any discount is probably "good". If the discount is worth your taking the chance of not getting the seats . . . ? Something more along that line ;) ) you may want to take a chance on waiting to purchase your tix. However, take into account how busy WDW may be at the time you are going (May, right?) and how disappointed you will be if the shows are sold out.

The show is awesome, but if the $$ is a concern for you right now, you could always put it on your 'To Do' List for a future visit. It will be around for a long time, I bet.

BTW, does anyone know about other discounts that may be available for this show? I think I recall that AmEx offered one to card members. It may be helpful to post for those who aren't related to CM's :p

Thanks for the info. The discount is 25% for cast members and we are taking the tribe...6 people in all. My wife and I saw the show last year but would love to share it with the rest of the family.

I have planned to take in the show on a Thurs. night May 2nd I believe( Mr. planner that I am) and I am starting to lean towards buying now without the discount.

But your response makes me feel like rolling the dice. There is always Disneyquest.

Thanks again.:)
