Has anyone ever stayed at the Comfort Inn at 8442 Palm Parkway
in Lake Buena Vista? :)

Yes, I have. We were supposed to stay there for 4 nights. I left after one night. While I have seen others be satisfied with this motel, I do not recommend the Comfort Inn to my clients unless they are going strictly for low price.

If this is the Comfort LBV, we stayed there over Christmas last year. I'm sure it was the Palm Parkway CI. If so, it sucked. It was by far the nastiest place that we have ever stayed. We reserved it through Southwest Vacations and they rated 3 stars. Whoever stayed there and rated three stars must have just returned from a months stay in Mogidishu or something. The fact that it had a roof must have impressed them.
If had not been for the fact that we spent ALL our waking hours at the parks it would have been insufferable. The pool (2) sucks and the restaraunt sucks. Our room was beyond description. When the toilet would flush, it overflowed. Pass this baby up. There are lots of hotels in the area that have got to be better. At least I hope they are. I would go with the DoubleTree as they are pretty consistent. You may want to check out a site called biddingfortravel.com. This is a sister site to Priceline. Scroll down the first page until you see FL - Orlando area and double click to open. Be sure to read the first two threads that pop up (hotel list and FAQ). They list which hotels purchase bids from priceline (levels include resorts to 1 star hotels in and around the disney area). For instance in the Disney area, most of the DTD hotels are listed in various categories with Hilton and Wyndham frequently taking $60-$70 per night bids. I have used this site to book my last vacation there. As I went during the end of a holiday, I didn't get the resort level I was attempting so had to go for a 3 star. We didn't do bad and certainly had a bigger room than if paid more money on disney prop. However, we are adults and were not traveling with children (who would of course enjoy the theming at AS). The hotel did have nice amenities which included a refrigerator in the room and this hotel purchases at $35 per night (and was right behind AK so we could see all of the fireworks going off at Disney and Epcot everynight). Lastly, if you decide to go this route, make sure to read the reviews listed behind the hotels. I find that they are pretty much on the mark.
Good luck.;)
