marriott vs hilton in lake buena vista

Has anyone stayed at the Marriott or the Hilton in Lake Buena Vista? If so, which hotel do you recommend?

Hey, snowmanz! Which Marriott are you refering to? There are two Courtyard by Marriott in the LBV area. I have stayed at them both. One is at Vista Center and one is at Downtown Disney. The rooms and hotel are nicer at Vista Center (about 1/2 mile from DTD), but the location is the highlight at the DTD location. I think both hotels have the same rates..and both offer special rates from time to time.

Hope this helps!

Hi Trishb, thanks for the reply. How are the rooms at the DTD location? Are they better than the All Stars room?

I have never stayed at All-Star, so I really couldn't say.

The rooms at the DTD location are spacious, with a seperate bathroom (two sinks and two mirrors, one in and one out..great for getting dressed in a hurry!). The room style is average and not overly decorated, but comfortable. It had two queen size beds, table, a coffee maker, and a huge closet with a safe. I had a room in the tower that included a balcony that looked toward DTD. I'm sure you could see the fireworks at midnight, but I was never awake!

Hope this helps!

Thanks Trish, I think we're going with DTD Marriott. Sounds like you get more for your money compared to All Stars.
