Re: POP or Vistana ?
The first couple of times we went to Disney we stayed in a very nice roomy resort in Kissimmee. Then once we started staying on-site we could never go back. There is just something so special about staying on site. It's like you never really have to go home at the end of the night.

Re: POP or Vistana ?
I own at Vistana Resort...both of them! There is Vistana Resort on 535 (down the road from the entrance of DTD) and there is a Vistana Villages on International Drive, not too far from 535, actually. Vistana Resort is the older resort, but it is REALLY beautiful. The villas are HUGE. Do you know if you would be getting a 1 bedroom or a 2 bedroom? Do you know which section? Lakes and Cascades are the newest. They are currently doing a MAJOR overhaul on Lakes and by the time you go, it will be complete. I'd stay in one of those villas if I had the choice!
I own a bunch of timeshare at these resorts...yet, I still LOVE to stay onsite! Last trip, we spent a week in our timeshare at Vistana Resort. Our villa was HUGE and we just relaxed the entire time. Then we had to move to POP Century and I was REALLY worried about the space. Yes, the room was about a quarter of the size of our large one bedroom at Vistana . But we were onsite and I loved every minute of it!Every trip, we stay both on site and off. I just have to tell you, we just started staying onsite these last few years. And we have ALWAYS had magical WDW vacations REGARDLESS!!!!!!!!!! We have stayed in studios in Disney and they are still half the size of a SMALL one bedroom at Vistana. Vistana maybe even bigger than that!!! You have to do what's right for you and your family. If you want SPACE and privacy and a GORGOUS resort, then Vistana is a PERFECT choice. If you won't have a car, plan to go to WDW every day and don't plan to do ANYTHING off site, maybe POP is your best bet. Being that you would have just left a cruise ship with tight quarters, maybe you should spread out when you get on land! Tough decision...if you have any questions about Vistana, I'd be happy to help!

Re: POP or Vistana ?
Vistanna and Orange Lake are the two timeshares I'd consider other than DVC. Owned Vistanna but never stayed there, but it looked like a really nice place.

Re: POP or Vistana ?
We own at Vistana and Disney. Vistana is an excellent resort for a family of four. We stay at both places and enjoy each very much. The resort has a lot to offer, from 7 pools, 4 rec cetres, 3 restaurants, mini golf, tennis courts, etc. plenty of space to enjoy and relax. to me Vistana is like OKW and SSR in their layout and location.
What ever you decide you will enjoy it because you are all together making memories. TK |

Re: POP or Vistana ?
Thanks everyone for your input on Vistana and Pop. We finally decided to just go with POR. Yes it is a little more than both of the other options, but we are onsite (which we like) and I've always been curious about this resort (it gets such rave reviews here!). I'm sure we'll be happy with it.
Less than 3 weeks to go. I need to start packing!
