How many days at Universal is needed??

Ok so we are heading to Universal on Sunday, LATE DAY, We have the option of heading to one of the parks if we want. Monday we are going to Discovery Cove. Then Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday we were going to go to Universal all three days!! BUT we get free tickets to Sea World by going to discovery cove. SOOOO my question is........

Is 2 days enough time to do US and IOA and on that 3rd day do Sea World or do we need more time for the Universal portion??? And then we would just skip SW altogether!???

Help? ?

Re: How many days at Universal is needed??

It really depends on the crowds. We went the first weekend in June last year. It was very hot and crowded. However, we were staying at a Universal resort and received a fast pass. The pass given to you at the resort is like a disney fast pass EXCEPT that you can use it on every ride (with the exception of I think 2 rides) at ANY TIME. You dont have to return to the ride at a specific time. The rides have a special line for those with the passes and you sail through the line and onto the ride in no time. The pass the resort gives you is unlimited...in otherwords, you can go on any ride as many times as you want. You can buy a similar pass without staying at a Universal resort, however, I think the amount of times you can go on each ride with it is limited. With the pass, we were about to do both parks in one full day. There are alot of rides that we did not go on (the kids are under 10 yrs old).

I would say with those passes you could maybe do both parks in one day..or maybe one park per day depending on how many times you go on the rides and what type of park go-er you are (commando, layed-back, etc). If it is REALLY crowded and you dont have a pass...definitely you will need one day per park. Like disney, the lines get really long.

I would never do Universal at a high peak time without one of those passes. It is worth the money.

Re: How many days at Universal is needed??

Are you staying on-site? If so you would get express-line access to all but one ride (Pteradon Flyers) and you could do both parks in a full day. I wouldn;t recommend it. Do each at a relaxing pace in 1/2 day and enjoy the resort. If you have more time you can go back and re-do favorite attractions.

If you're not staying on-site I would do a whole day for each park.

We are staying on site, so would 1 day for US and 1 day for IOA be sufficient? I would really love to do Sea World so I was hoping 1 day per park would be enough.

Yes, since you are staying on site and will be able to use their "front of the line" pass as a resort guest, one day in each park should be sufficient.

Since you will be staying onsite at Universal, 2 days is MORE than enough to experience both parks. Have a blast at Sea World...you'll love it!

A day in each park will be more than enough. Take some time to enjoy the resort too. Which one are you staying at? Oh, and ride Spiderman for me a few times

We've only stayed at HRH and Royal Pacific. I preferred Royal Pacific much more. The theming and the service are wonderful.

Re: How many days at Universal is needed??

We've been to US/IOA three times. Every time was in late July, early Aug. We had nooooo problem getting both parks in. The most recent time we went with my DW's sis, her two kids (17 & 14) and still had no prob seeing both parks in two days even with having to deal with "newbies".

My wife is a HUGE SW fan (we went every year when they had one up here in OH). And she was disappointed in Orlando. The park layout is horrendous. The rides (Kraken) was great but as for the rest of the park. I would not recommend it.

Never been to Discovery Cove. But my wife did do the dolphin experience in OH when they were preparing the animals to be sent to Orlando. THAT was neat.

Re: How many days at Universal is needed??

I think that 1 day in each park would be plenty of time to do/see everything; especially since you're staying on property and you can get in early and cut to the front of the line too.

SeaWorld is a beautiful park and if you have time to visit, I'd definately go there.

Enjoy!
