Personally, I like All Stars Movies....it just "feels" more Disney-ish to me.

I have stayed at Best Western Lakeside and paid $28 a night in Feb and LOVED it!! I plan on going back in Dec and all the values are sold out so I may try this one again.

My husband likes Pop and Movies..Ive never been to any so I can't help there.

We left one day earlier then planned. We drove down to Kissimmee. We stayed at Days Inn Maingate East of WDW. We went to Downtown Disney that evening & ate at the Rain Forest Cafe. We were up, bright & early, to check into our resort. Seems like the entrance to WDW was very close. The price was around $40.00 (I think).

We will be doing this a second time. Once we were planning on staying over somewhere in Georgia, but when we got there, DH was still good for driving so I called Disney, and booked a room at Pop for that night. We are driving again next week, and I just asked DH what our game plan was. He said "book a value" so the boys picked Sports this time. I figured, the cost will be about the same as we would have spent in GA, and all of us can go exploring and experience another Disney resort. Also, they will move your luggage for you if you choose to go that route.

I would definately stay in a value for the one night! They run like $95. Can't really beat that!

I forgot to say, when we did this it was in July. We paid summer rates. Depending on the time of year you want to go, the rates could be lower.

As far as value resorts, I have never paid over $69.00 + tax. They are always sending me internet deals. But, if you are going to be arriving very late, I would stay off site for that one night & save that money. That would be more money to spend inside Disney. But, only you know what is best for you.

Thanks for all the info. We finally decided to buy Annual Passes, so I am hoping to get a good rate so we don't have to stay off property.

I really appreciate everyones input, thats why I love this place so much cause there are so many good people here on MB!!!

Stay at a value!! But, we have done the same thing a couple of times....we stayed at Best Western Lakeside and it was very nice.....but, last spring we stayed at Ramada Inn-Maingate and it was not for me! Can't really say why....price was good, pool looked fun, but I wasn't comfortable there. We usually book these first night stays on-line and usually get a pretty good deal. But, again, if there is a room available I would stay at a value on Disney property!!

I am so jealous of the good hotel deals you all seem to be getting! When I check the sites, I don't ever seem to find the scorching deals of $38 per night or even $90 per night....I better get to looking!

That's what I'm afraid of. You never know what you are going to get. With Disney, you are guaranteed a clean, safe, get you in the Disney Spirit kind of mood. I think I would rather spend a little more with that type of guarantee. By the way, I just looked at my countdown......8 DAYS TO GO!!!
