cheap hotel on international drive

We need a place to stay for the first night we arrive in Orlando. We arrive around 10-11 on Sunday and check into AKL on Monday morning. We figured we would save $$$ by not checking in to AKL that night but now we need a place to stay. Friends of ours suggested somewhere on International dirve there are hotels as low as $40.00. Does anyone know of any or have any suggestions?

How about one of the on-site Value resorts?? You can use Magical Express and WDW will move your luggage for you.

Re: cheap hotel on international drive

We did that. We were driving, and felt refreshed when we hit Georgia, where we were going to stay the night. So, we kept driving and when we hit Florida, I called Disney to see if they had any rooms available. We got one at Pop for under $100.00. That's what we would have paid for Georgia, and we got to see what staying at a value was like (very, very clean!!!)

Re: cheap hotel on international drive

Do you know that I found that the hotels I checked out for our late night arrival are more expensive than the POP?
So guess where we are staying the first night...

It's very easy and so stress free. We call bell services when we're ready to leave for the day, they come tag the bags and move then to our new resort. It's quick and easy. After we check in and get our new room we call bell services and have then bring our bags up. We were told they move all the bags at a certain time, I believe it's either 2 or 3:00 so don't look for them to arrive at your new resort before that.

That's my thought too. Then I can experience what others are talking about.
