Re: I need to vent about offsite hotel call

If you are going to keep the reservation, have them fax you a confirmation with the correct price listed.

Let me know if I can help any further.

Another place I found that I think I might try is called Seralago. It's the same type of deal. Super cheap, nothing fancy, but the price is right and they're trying to redo the rooms, etc. to make it nicer.

I can say with certainty that the TraveLodge met our needs. The beds were comfy enough, the rooms were clean, the grounds were clean, the pool was fun and there wasn't excessive noise at night.

Thanks Erin! Im going to google it right now and check it out. Im not looking for the GF or anything Im just looking to get us there and no break the bank Im a thrifty shopper so IF i have to stay offsite I want to make it the best deal ever

THis may be the deal for you.

Check out my thread if you can. You'll at least get lots of pictures.

I think we paid 45 a night.

I hope you find what's right for you. I understand wanting to make the most out of your money.

I just checked out the Travelodge reviews on trip advisor and I think Im gonna pass on that. I did see the reviews for the Seralago and they look great. I called to check prices but the lady told me to call back in the AM but online it was showing $76 nightly. I think this used to be a holiday inn or something. I read about this somewhere a while back.
Im going to try and call the Best Western Lakeside in the AM. I got the Magicard and they said rates were being offered at $50 so Im going to give it a try. Thanks for the advise

Ya know.. Im going to go look it up and check out the pics again. I think alot of people that write the reviews want to get something out of a budget motel that they think they should. I just want a nice cheap place to park it at night

Re: I need to vent about offsite hotel call

That's my opinion. TripAdvisor is a great place to start, but it's not the end-all and be-all of truth.

Alot of people come to Orlando and expect the whole town to be magical. It's not. The TraveLodge is NOT magical. It IS clean, etc. My family makes it special. But, for 45 a night I can bring my own magic.

Let me tell ya.. for $45 night I will sprinkle some glitter and call it pixie dust I did check out your pics from the TR and Im going to call in the am for rates. I looked it up online and it was showing $67 but I know if I call the place directly they may offer something cheaper. As it stand now I do have the Motel 6 on hold with a credit card.
Im not even going to be in the room a whole lot because the parks are going to be so packed so I dont know what im scared of.. Perhaps rats and lizzards running in the room

The only hotel I stayed at beside a DISNEY hotel is the Hilton @ Downtown Disney, but I know it's expensive.

Re: I need to vent about offsite hotel call

I just canceled the Motel 6. I called today and asked for the mamager (which was RUDE) and she said that there is nothing that she can do and its going to be $380.00 for 6 nights so I called the Howard johnson Main gate east and got 7 nights for $359.50 so as of now thats what Im looking at! I guess I can still look around but for now its the HOJO

7 nights for 359 is pretty awesome. I hope you enjoy yourself!! I think you'll like it better than the Motel 6!

I agree. They should send you a confirmation and that's all you will need.
