Halloween Horror Nights

Who's going this year? I want to know what you've heard about this year's event.

Last year it was our reason for the whole October trip (DS was turning 13 and wanted to go there for his b'day present) so I had been following all the news and reviews closely. This year I'm going with friends who just decided last night to add one HHN to their Disney trip.

I am so far behind. I don't know anything about HHN 2008. (besides that I will be screaming a lot

)

I wish I could go! I used to go to Halloween Horror Nights every year when I lived in Florida and LOVED it. I scare super easily, so it absolutely terrified me every time.

Wow! Looks like a Bloody Mary theme. It also looks like they've expanded quite a bit since the last time I went.

And....the character in the very top left corner on the main page kind of looks like the faun from Pan's Labyrinth.

There are so many houses and so little time in one night! I want to hear which ones are best from someone who's been!

I was talking to one of my clients today! She went last year . . . she said NEVER AGAIN . . . they had to take her to the infirmary because she had a SERIOUS panic attack. She said she felt like she was trapped in a horror film and couldn't get out!!

But some people LOVE that scared to death feeling . . . me, well, NOT SO MUCH!

I know that Bloody Mary is the theme this year. I've been seeing the commericals and it looks to scary for me. I have friends at work who go every year and love it.

I love HHN! We can't go this yaer because we don't want to leave DS overnight yet (he's 22 months) but I love reading reviews and seeing pictures. This year is supposed to be really good. Here is a link with videos of walkthroughs of 2 of the houses by one of the creators.

I didnt go cause I didnt think the stress would be all that great on the babies, but my friends went last weekend. All I got out of them so far was that it was CROWDED. I'll try and get some more info on which houses are best from them.

DDoll we saw the commercial and the billboards along the road advertising the Horror night at Universal on this recent trip and they were bad enough! The tv commercial scared me!! Apparently some parents had complained about the Bloody Mary posters/billboards being along the highway (source: Orlando Sentinel)
We had a friend who went a few years ago and he was absolutely terrified but said it was great fun on reflection.
I will be so keen to hear how it goes if you do decide to go.

I was just looking for details.

We went last year too and it was really crowded. That's why I was looking for reviews so we wouldn't waste precious time in a house that was just so-so.

What I love about HHN is that it's so EXTREME!...I mean, you never want to hear about people having panic attacks -- that's just terrible, but HHN is truly terrifying and fun!

I was thinking if I go to WDW in Oct 2009 I will take my youngest to MHSSHP and Ed and take the oldest to Universal

Oh sure! The fun is from being so scared!

Hearing about panic attacks will actually increase attendance there.
