Good neighbor off-site WDW hotels

I was thinking about it, and have come to a conclusion that I can't justify spending $127.68 a night at AS-Sports, when I am only going to use the room to sleep and dress and a possible afternoon rest.

With this being said, can anyone recommend a very nice good neighbor hotel that has good shuttle service for my solo trip Dec 26 to Jan 3.

Thanks,

WDWMickey16

Didn't you just start planning this trip of yours a couple of months ago under a different name? How many changes have you made thus far?

Try one of the DD hotels. Their rates are lower, and you can still use the EE and WDW transportation system. You'll lose out on the theming, though, which, to me, is worth the extra cost(if I'm there, I want to be constantly immersed in the magic).:heart :)

If you are really trying to cut costs, I'd change your dates. You are going at the most expensive and crowded time of the year, no matter where you stay.

You might want to try some online discount hotel reservation services. I saw a post on another board where someone got the All-Stars at less than the rack rate for your dates. The person used usahotelguide.com, who must have the wrong rate loaded into their site's reservation service.

Of course, you might want to check out their cancellation/change policy just in case your plans change.
