Are there Universal Resort Codes?

Are there Universal Resort Codes? If so, how do you find them out? What kind of discounts are they usually? Does Universal run any other types of unadvertised specials for their resorts?

I don't know about special codes, but I do know that they offer discounted room rates on occasion. My friend went in April and stayed at Portofino Bay and booked it through Expedia.com for UNDER $200 per night, when it was going for WELL over that, directly from the hotel. ;)

I don't think Universal offers "codes" like Disney does. But mousesavers.com is still a good place to find out about the latest discounts @ both places! :)

dznygrl, I don't think they offer "codes" like WDW does (because WDW makes them public), but after reading mousesavers.com, it says all you have to do is call the hotel reservations department and ask if there are any special codes available for a particular date. Often times there are codes available, they just won't release them to the general public...all you have to do is ask. Then again, you might get much better deals using Expedia or Hotwire...there are some GREAT tips about using Hotwire listed on mousesavers, that help you to recognize if your search turns up one of the hotels on Universal Property! Remember, since you don't know the name of the hotel until you book it, this is usually a game of Roulette. But the tips here make it easy to tell if you are getting one of the "Universal" resorts! GOOD LUCK!

This seems understandable since the Universal Resorts are actually from an outside company whereas Disney Resorts are built and ran by Disney. Expedia may be the best place to look, thanks. I visit Mousesavers often, but rarely see major deals for the Universal resorts, of course, I'm usually looking for Disney info :). Thanks everyone.

Hi there, Call Universal directly and ask for the "Entertainment book Rate" This rate will be typically Hard rock. $125-150, Porto $140 and the Royal pacfic $110!!!!
THIS IS A CLUB YOU BUY FOR $10.00 A YEAR.
Typically upon check-in they don't even ask for it.
Though for $10.00, this club offers 50% savings throughout America.
THIS IS A GREAT PRICE
:)

Nice tip, especially since my Disney Club card has expired, I may need to look into the Entertainment Club more. I know through the Disney Club the Entertainment Hotels were restricted from the standard club options.

;)
That was the only problem with the DisneyClub being connected with the Entertainment Club. But by itself, the Entertainment Club will save you BIG. Even at the Royal Plaza, and all the Hotel Plaza Hotels, if those are even an option. We don't stay in that area anymore because of the bus situations....but good prices.
Especially good for Universal Hotels.

I checked out the Entertainment guide for Orlando. You get 50% off rack rate or 10% off any promotion, whichever is the bigger savings. This is for Universal Hotels.

Also, there must be Promotional codes for Universal vacations, they have a spot for one on this page: http://www.universalstudiosvacations...p?referrer=un4
