Universal Hotels
Just to update anyone looking at the Universal Hotels, here is a big money saving tip. Call Universal directly and ask for the Entertainment book rate.
Here are the rates I recieved: Royal Pacific: $110; Hard Rock $125 and the Portofino $150. We did not opt for these, but for those who want to take advantage of their "Key" special and no line waiting...here you go..it is a 50% savings. By the way the Enterainment Club only cost about $10 a year....if they even look at the card upon check in We decided not to stay here because we always compare everything to Disney, and it would kill us comparing everything!

You'll have a fantastic time at the Royal Pacific. Whatever you paid. We stayed there for a week at Xmas before going on to Disney for 2 weeks. Despite reports, at that time , to the contrary we found the staff both friendly and helpful.
INot only is it a good quality hotel you can either walk to Universal City Walk and the Parks or go on the water taxi ( great fun ) which runs right thru to the early hours....so you can make full use of the Nightlife. They also ran a courtesy bus to and from Seaworld so we just parked the car and left it alone for a week. A day at the Parks. A boat ride home. Cocktails or a beer in Jake's Bar just to calm down before going back up to City Walk. Life doesn't get better..........................until you hit WDW again !! Enjoy your holidays, Rob |
