Vacation Rental Homes

Ok......I have been trying to decide what to do for a while now...still looking for more options, opinions & suggestions.

Ok here's my story...we were booked at the Shades of Green hotel for 6 nights in January (For 4 adults, 1 room), well they extended their construction time until March and we are now booked at the Contemporary Garden Wing. I haven't heard the best things about this joint :madmad Like the upkeep is horrible, unfriendly staff, etc...maybe it is just the way the SOG people are being treated-being put in the Leper Wing ;) , so I am trying to decide what my other options are. I have been hoping WDW would extend their 40% off for military special they have now until Dec 19, but no such luck. I am now considering booking one of these Luxury Pool homes I keep reading about. The only downside I can find is that it is off property (have to drive & pay for parking at the parks). The upsides are that we won't be sleeping on top of each other in 1 room. We will have our own heated pool (& possibly jucuzzi). Full kitchen, full everything.
I just have no clue which company to go with, there are so many to choose from :nervous
So, I am hoping that someone on here has suggestions.
Don't get me wrong, I love Disney....but I like saving $$ too and being comfortable.

Thanks bunches!
Heather :) :) :) :) :)

Heather, I think you would be more comfortable in a home or condo with 4 adults. We stayed in a condo Aug. a year ago with 2 bedrooms and it suited us fine. It was not luxury but with 5 adults and a child it suited our budget at the time. I really can't reccomend a company but I have seen some great looking ones advertised. You might want to check out the Fla. Better Business Bureau to help you decide. Driving to the parks isn't so bad I have done it on 11 different trips!

I have a friend that rented one of these. She is going there next week and I am waiting to see how she likes it since we have a group going with us next year.

I will try to remember to post here when I hear back from her.

I just talked to someone at work who rented one of these and she said is was wonderful. They had their own private pool and she said it was very luxurious. The home was immaculate. There was 3 adults and they split the cost of the home at a little over 300. a piece for a week.

I'm sure our host of this site-Mouseketrips_ could also help you. My wife is a part time travel agent so I know that agents often have access to rental homes in vacation destinations. And it's so great of him to start this web site we all enjoy!
