Crrreeeppy!!!

I am watching Horror Nights on Travel Channel right now! It shows the Haunted Houses at IOA! It is the total opposite of DW Halloween! It is so very gruesome and scary. There is no way I could make it. And people pay for that? If you catch the show be sure and look at the "lizard man"

I am going to Six Flags Marine World (in Northern California) for Halloween weekend with a group of friends. It was *my* idea, because I'd always wanted to attend their annual "Fright Fest" event. But now I'm looking at pictures online and thinking, "No way! I'm going to be scared to tears!!!"

All of my friends are totally psyched about going now. What have I gotten myself into?!?! :dazed

Six Flags themselves describes Fright Fest as calm by day, terrifying by night! All of the employees dress up in hideous costumes and stalk you and...urgh. I'm shuddering just thinking about it.

Yeah, I'm sure that it would be really scary in the darkness. I think that's what is freaking me out the most. Maybe I'll--uh, come down with a headache just before sundown... :laugh

These aren't real chain saws, though. They're just plastic toys that sound like a chain saw.

My oldest son (22) loves the Horror nights. I on the other hand don't think I could spend a night like that. Back when I was younger I loved that kind of stuff, Haunted Houses, fun houses, and those horror houses that popped up at halloween and at the fairs. I guess age mellows you.

I am looking forward to celebrating a scary holiday at a non scary party at WDW:)

I watched that too. It looked like something Dh and my older children could really love, but not my cup of tea! BTW, it seems a little steep at $51.95 per person before you add the express option. I'm not that fond of being frightened for 5-7 hours.

I have friends that "LOVE" the scary Halloween Horror Nights at
IOA. But me I've been to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween and I have to say the "Headless Horseman" from 2 years ago scared the .... (well you know what) out of me.

I don't do Snakes so there is noooo waaaaayy I would consider doing anything sooooo scary. But I have to say if you have small children---- Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween is fantastic. I went with two friends (no kids here/just a kid at heart).
It was one of the best times I've had.

:D

We went to Halloween Horror Night at Universal in 2001 when DD was 10 1/2 years old.

She wanted to go and we thought it would be cool because she is not afraid of anything; can watch scary movies, ride the tallest/fastest rollercoasters in the world, etc. and not be intimidated by anything....or so we thought.

The chainsaws at Universal HHN are ABSOLUTELY terrifying! They sound so much like the real thing that it really does scare the bejeebers out of you; scared me too because DD was scared.

The haunted houses were either so dark you couldn't see anything and the people jumping out at you wasn't so bad for us. There was one where there was strobe light flashing & it almost made you sick.

We saw the girl in the glass coffin with the rats walking all over her. YUCK!!! I think that gave me the chills more than anything.

I don't know what it's like at the IOA since they've moved it but we enjoyed the shows that they did at the movie lot the year we went. The parade was like a creepy Mardi Gras as they threw Mardi Gras type necklaces out to the crowd.

The HHN is not for the faint of heart.

I saw the girl with the rats all over her on the Travel Channel special. I don't know how she could ever do that! The thought of those chain saws are bad enought. Even when you know it is not real sometimes it is hard to make your brain understand that!

I'm with you. I'm a big-time sissy with this kind of horror. Mild scary, ok. But creepy, no thanks.

I got scared by a dancing turkey the other day in a toy store. I mean, I screamed bloody murder and jumped halfway across the store. Ryan's still laughing. :hmmm

Believe me, it was pathetic. :hmmm It's this plastic turkey on a grill, and you push the button and it starts playing music. Then the turkey starts wiggling and the next thing you know, WHAM! the thing pops up and starts dancing in your face singing, "Hot, Hot, Hot!" I had looked away for a split second and when I looked back, I thought I was being attacked!!!! :laugh
