Sea World?
Hi everyone,
We are heading to WDW on Nov 30, and staying until Dec 7. We will be staying at the Beach Club, and I am wondering if a trip off property to go to sea world is worth the $$...we are paying a lot to go to Disney, but my DD loves whales...we have done whale watches around here, and saw Humpbacks and Sei whales, and thought this might be fun....but at almost $60 /adult and $35/ kids, we are looking at almost $200 to get in, plus $55 transportation back and forth.... Thanks, Michelle

There are ALWAYS deals for Sea World. When you get to Orlando just check into it - I'm sure you'll get some sort of discount. They're always changing them. Sometimes they're combined with a pass to Universal or Busch Gardens, or just sometimes on their own. We've never paid full price for Sea World.
Should you go? ABSOLUTELY. I am not such a Disney fanatic that I can't admit there are wonderful things outside WDW. Sea World is one of them. The atmosphere is more relaxed, the grounds are beautiful and it's just wonderful seeing all the different kinds of sea life. (Also the Hospitality House with free beer samples isn't so bad either). The shows are entertaining and it's just a nice change from WDW. (The Scurvy Pirate at the Sea Lion Show is hysterical) In fact, if you decide to go, I would skip The Living Seas at Epcot. And please kiss my polar bears for me. They are from Churchill, Manitoba, way, way north of us, but they're still ours. We check in just to see that they're happy.

Oh - sorry - I forgot, the Shamu Show (whales) is excellent. I'm sure your DD will love it. One late afternoon we were there in an almost empty park, looking at the whales and one of their trainer's happened by. He kept us absolutely fascinated for about at half hour giving us all sorts of information on the whales and even letting us into a section of their pools where the public is not allowed. It was wonderful.
If you do the Shamu Show sit in the front rows. You'll stay nice and dry...

We took our 2 sons last summer to Sea World and they loved it. We got a huge discount by looking for discounts before we got to Orlando. Sometimes they offer advance discounts on Seaworld.com . In fact, we are going back to WDW in March and my sons are already asking if we can go back to Sea World. They loved feeding the dolphins and seeing Shamu. But their favorite was the Clyde and Seamore Show.

If you have never gone, I definitely think it's worth a try. I love that park, although we don't get to go every trip mostly because we don't have the TIME. They have a great area where you can feed the dolphins, pet them, etc. They take pictures of you doing it and you don't even know it...I got this the year it was me and my little brother at WDW. It was his first trip and we had a blast...and he absolutely LOVED the roller coaster KRAAKEN. It is my favorite in Orlando!!! We still never got to check out Atlantis...the line is always SOOOOOO LONG!!!! :dazed

Sea World is awesome! I love the floorless coaster, Kraken. If you go, ride it because the loops are insane. And they do have some great shows and lush landscaping. And Atlantis is a great ride. The lines can be long, but if it is under 1 hour, wait and ride it. I think that it is a great park to go and check out. I would go again, no questions
