Re: Help Planning

I think we are going to use national because they are in the airport and we have coupons from the entertainment book for a free double upgrade.

Re: Help Planning

Check mousesavers.com for rental car discount codes. You can also go to nationalcar.com. We've got a car reserved from them for next month. On their website, you can combine discount codes and entertainment book coupons to get multiple discounts. This defintely helped to make them cheaper than all of the other rental car companies I checked. Most companies would only allow you to use one discount.

Re: Help Planning

Have you thought about using a town car company or Mears? The town car will run you about $95 round trip, and Mears is about $30 round trip per person, but slower than a town car. If it is just you or two of you, and you are trying to save money, just go with Mears.

Remember, even though the rate for the rental car may be $100 per week, there is going to be a good $50 in taxes plus gas, tolls, etc. You are looking at probably $200 for the week.

Now, if you are planning on going to Universal or Sea World or off property a couple of times, then the car may make sense.

I also was going to recomend L and M to you. Are you a member of any kind of college program or frequent flier program??? I know that both of these, as well as AAA, can get you discounts.

Re: Help Planning

We just got back from WDW, we rented from National....an Economy car for 6 days. The cost was $118. TOTAL. We found a code on Mousesavers.com ( I can try to find it for you later, if you need it) Worked great. We did a LOT of driving this week and filled the gas tank for $15. Tolls amount to about $2.50 each way. I say rent a car!!! It's nice to not have to plan to leave so early to make your PS'S. Have fun!!!
