Car Rental *Need Help*
Hi All,
I have a question about car rentals. We are only going to be renting a car for a day or 2 when we go to WDW. We only plan on going to Universal Island Adventure and maybe 1 other place. Where would we rent a car since we are not going to be renting a car at the airport? My husband has said he read some where that there are shuttles that will take you right out side WDW to rent your car. Now my question is what car rental places are there?? Some car rental places are running specials if you use this credit card or that you get a % off. We just aren't sure what is available once we get there. Thanks, Jena :)

I would guess that the easiest place would be to rent at National. They are the official car rental company of WDW, and have a couple of sites at WDW. There is one at the Car Care Center just outside of the Magic Kingdom and another at the Dolphin Resort. I am sure other companies have locations at or near WDW. I just looked up a couple, and AVIS has one at the Hilton by Downtown Disney, Hertz has one at the Marriott Village near Downtown Disney and Alamo has one at the Wyndham near Downtown Disney. I would assume that each company has a shuttle that can come pick you up, or you can catch the shuttle to the individual hotel.

I am sooooooooooooooooo ready for our trip!! Trying to get everything out of our way before we get there. So the only thing we have to worry about is what we are going to do every day! :D Jena :)

When we rent a car, we always used National. They have a counter right in the baggage area. Their staff is quick and efficient. I never had to wait in a long line. If you have the DC card or AAA card, you can get a discount too.

WE are going with National this year for our 10 day trip. With our Disney Club discount and Entertainment Club two class upgrade coupon we get a Full size car for 154.00 for the whole trip. I"m sure you'll find a great deal for a couple of days..
Lisa :)
