New Policy on US Airways!!

OK well it isn't exactly new, but it may affect some of you. Unless, you cancel your reservation within 24 hours of departure, then you loose your ticket!!! The old policy was that if you had an unused ticket then you could pay the change fee you could use the ticket at a later date. I was just told of the new policy tonight while booking some flights, but the policy has been in place for almost 9-12 months now!!

Re: New Policy on US Airways!!

I am glad US Airways still allows you to talk with someone!!! It is easier to let them find the lowest fare for you, then I go online and get the extra Dividend Miles. If I have a problem booking online, then I call them up.

If there's a demand, they'll go there.

Send them an e-mail and tell all your friends to do the same.

They're adding a new destination at about 2-3 / year and that rate will likely pick up as they gain popularity.

Re: New Policy on US Airways!!

I think you just have to cancel before the flight takes off. Jetblue is awesome they are my fave. Song is just a bunch of copycats. Delta in disguise. Jetblue doesn't play games like the legacy airlines. Okay I will shut up now.

That is exactly the way the policy is. You cancel a minimum of 24 hours before and it is good for a year after the departure date.

Re: New Policy on US Airways!!

I don't think you need 24 hours. I usually cancel stuff minutes before take off. but i should look into it. they keep changing now continental, usair, american northwest united all charge if you book on the phone or buy a ticket at the airport.
