Do we go topless or not???

Hello everyone, we reserved an incredible rate for a convertible for 10 days!
I thought now that my children were a bit older (3 and 6) it would be fun.
But my DW and I just thought...were going in early December. I know the temperature can go either way? Any thoughts?
Den

And remember, we will be flying in from snow most likely.

Re: Do we go topless or not???

What kind of car is it? Most convertibles nowadays are fine, even in cold weather.

I say go for it. I know that here at home, I start opening the sunroof in April or May and will continue using it through the end of October.

December in Orlando is like early May or late September up here. I'd definately do it.

My gosh. When I read the title of this Thread, I thought we'd switched to a forum about the Dominican Republic. (one of my husband's favourite places - I wonder why...)

If you will be driving more than a few hours in duration, I would skip the rag top. Too much noise and too much wind. But if you are going to be driving in many short bursts, I think it would be okay.

Re: Do we go topless or not???

Oh come on now lets not think about snow in CT in Dec, I'm coming up to CT in Dec I don't need to see anymore snow, save that for Jan.

as for a convertable I would say go for it, but if you are a family of 4 can you get all your luggage in a convertable? remember they have signifigantly smaller trunks.

as for a convertable in DEC it will be fine for a tourist you can always put the top up if its too cold.

Re: Do we go topless or not???

I would say go topless.... It is lots of fun... just make sure that the wind is not too much for the littleones... If you are going on the expressway... for long distance... I think I would keep the top up for the children.... but if you are just on regular roads it should be fine for them.... also... more wind goes in the back seat than the front seat... and if it is a little chilly try putting the windows up and running the heat with the top down... that is fun too... šošJudy
