Re: QuickSilver Questions...

Good Moring!

I'm new to DC and I love all the info. Looking for transportation for our trip in May and I think we will go with QuickSilver. Just not sure if we should book round trip or return home with WDW magical express. (it starts after we arrive) Any suggestions would be great.... Thank you

Gregory's service is the only service I recommend to my clients! You will not be disappointed with Quicksilver -- it is nice to never have to worry. I cannot say enough nice things about Quicksilver -- all I can say is let Gregory prove it to you!!

Re: QuickSilver Questions...

Well let me tell you what happened to me in January 2005 (I registered to Disneycentral.com just so I could let you know about the servide I got from QuickSilver Tours).

My family had a reservation with QuickSilver. A driver was suppose to pick us up at the Orlando airport. Our flight was suppose to arrive at 13:40.

So our flight arrived at around 13:30 and we showed up at the baggage claim area at around 13:50 and no driver was waiting for us!!

At 14:10, everybody had left the baggage claim area and we were still waiting for the driver... I called QuickSilver and the gentleman told us they were sorry and the driver would be there in roughly 20 minutes, therefore at around 14:30 (!!!!!). At that time I went to see how long was the wait time for a standard taxi and it was 10 minutes but we decided to wait for the QuickSilver driver since we had made a reservation with them...

At 14:45, still no driver around.....
I called again QuickSilver to complain and they told me the driver should be there shortly..

He finally showed up at 14:50............CLOSE TO ONE HOUR AFTER WE ARRIVED AT THE BAGGAGE CLAIM AREA.... Boy was I not happy....

I recently sent an email to QuickSilver to complain about this situation and Gregory (mentioned in a previous email...) replied to me:
"Bottom line is, we were late, it doesn't happen often (3% of the time), and there is nothing we could do other than give you the best service possible after we arrived at the airport".

Sure I got good service when the driver arrived at the airport but to wait ONE HOUR for a reserved service is completely ridiculous....

Next time, I'll pay the extra few bucks to get a normal taxi ride (we were four passengers), possibly wait a few minutes for the standard taxi but I certainly do not want to take a chance to be (again) within the 3% of their waiting customers...

Sure 97% of their customers get a great service with no wait time but, again, I would not want to take any more chance with this company. As far as I'm concerned, I'd prefer waiting a few minutes for a standard taxi that WILL BE THERE (since there are a lot of standard taxis at the Orlando airport) versus TAKING A CHANCE to ruin my arrival period at Walt Disney World, like they did in January...

Re: QuickSilver Questions...

No matter how hard you try there will always be unprepared problems. However, Quicksilver has always had an excellent rating on here and I would not hesitate to use them if I were flying to WDW rather than driving. We almost did that this year as a matter of fact and I was going to call Gregory to make a reservation. But we are now driving, so it really is a non-issue, but I would not have a problem with using his company as many DC members have.

Re: QuickSilver Questions...

So, you got excellent service once the driver arrived and you're still complaining?

In the large scheme of things, is an hour really that long a time?

Obviously, this has really stewed you because you're telling us about this months after the fact.

My suggestion is that you should let it go and perhaps use another company. Statistically, you're much more likely to have problems with them.

If you'd prefer to take a smaller cab for more money because it'll 100% guarantee rapid transport, then maybe you're better off with that choice.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm glad to hear that Gregory isn't perfect, I was beginning to think that maybe he was using Black Magic or something.

Personally, I'm looking forward to using Quicksilver in June. I'll take my chances with the 3%.
