Re: EzPass
I don't think it would work down there - I believe they have a different system?

Re: EzPass
As far as I know, there aren't even any tolls on I 95 once you get south of Maryland! VA, NC, SC, GA, FL don't have any tolls, so EZ pass really isn't an issue (as long as you're going on 95). Pete and I always want to get EZ pass because we drive from PA to FL about twice a year, but then we realize that once we get 4 hours into our trip, we don't even need it.

Re: EzPass
Yah I want to say some of the states in the North east with the epass system also charge a yearly mait fee as well so that kills it again.
down here in central FL they are starting to use epass for traffic tracking as well when you drive down roads in FL you will see what looks to be fast food trays on a sign post in the median of the road, they are tracking how long it takes you to get from point a to point b. although your account is not being tracked with this so its not like big brother watching over you. some other things they are trying to make work down here is parking at the airport to be paid with epass, fast food drive through payment and other things like that as well. there is also a national test program going on down here in Orlando called 'Oranges" this one system that allows you to pay for parking in downtown orlando, bus rides on certain LYNX routes, and all tolls with a small transmitter. if it works here in Orlando it will move on to other area's of the country, and become a nationwide program. |

Re: EzPass
Most all of the Toll Roads around Orlando, there is a way around them... and the interstate does not have one... We made a one and only trip to NJ.... it cost a fortune for all the tolls on the interstate... we decided that we did not loose anything in NJ so we do not need to go back LOL.... ºoºJudy
