Quicksilver is awesome

Hi, All,
DW and I just returned from a great 5-day working vacation(ADA convention). We stayed at Portofino Bay, and I spent a lot of time at the convention, but we did squeeze in a day each at Epcot and MGM. I constantly changed my transportation plans(I don't even know how many times) and Gregory(Quicksilver's owner) didn't miss a beat. He was more than pleasant each time I called. The drivers were either on time or early every time. Gregory, hopefully you're reading this, and, if you are, I'm pretty sure you know who I am! Keep up the great work.

What did you think of Portofino?

Portofino is very luxurious and beautiful, and the pizza at Sal's is great. They were still dealing with a lot of storm damage, and one of the pools was closed, but everyone was wonderful. I still think Hard Rock(we split our stay a couple years ago with that and CBR) was more fun, though, and had a slightly nicer pool. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic place, Portofino is the one. We tend to prefer a more "happening" atmosphere, which Hard Rock provides. We also like trying new places. Next summer, we plan on using our DVC membership for the first time, and splitting the stay with time at Royal Pacific.

No problem re:the later pickup. After all, I was the one who changed things on the fly. And, besides, it gave us a chance to eat at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe-it was delicious, and I highly recommend it, especially the Starburst Martini-yummy. We'll be heading down again next summer, and you can be sure we'll be using Quicksilver again. So far, it's a secret, so don't tell my kids!!

Well, it's always hard to change. But, it seems everyone here on DC has nothing but good things to say about Quicksilver. So, I guess it is time to change, and book Quicksilver. Thanks for all your great reviews.... It makes change a little easier!!!

It's great to hear all the positive comments, we are going to use Quicksilver in Nov. it's cheaper than Mears and we can use that 30 min stop to get a few things.
