Just booked our town car service

I just called this morning to book our transfers. I don't know if it was Greg I talked to or not but who ever it was....was very friendly. He's even gonna make a special sign for my daughter. It'll say Happy Birthday Jessi instead of our last name. She will be so surprised.(as this trip is a combination of a surprise birthday gift for her and our last big family trip together...due to my son being almost 18 and leaving home) And he even told me that if I was going to go to Port Canaveral as early as I was gonna that people would still be leaving the ship and their isn't much to do there but wait. So a big thanks for that advice.
Greg can't wait to see your smiling face or Carlos' in only 88 more days. I'm counting them down...lol

How cool of them to make your DD a special birthday sign. That's awesome! Congrats on booking. It always makes the trip seem realer.

Re: Just booked our town car service

I feel really bad for these guys with the new magical express taking away so much of their business.
Still debating on weather to book Quicksilver in May, even though we qualify for the magical express...

Hello Buzz,

Just close your eyes, imagine long lines at the airport to have a bus assigned to your family, a bus with 40 to 50 people in it, 3 to 4 stops on your way, no luggage beside you when you arrive, long lines at resort check in since at least a dozen families will be there at the same time, and so on...

Now, how much is the value of time in Disney for your vacation? Some travel agents say $40.00 an hour, some $30.00 (family of 4). So, the wasted time to use this service will be no less than 4hours (4 x $30 = $120.00)...

Just my point of view, partial maybe, but pretty close to reality.

Regards,

Gregory Nicolas.

Re: Just booked our town car service

That does it--we're going to use Quicksilver for our trip in May. Maybe this will be useful for your decision, Buzz...

While DW and DSs and I are renting a car, my DMIL is arriving separately and when we tried to make Magical Express reservations they had enormous trouble accomodating the case of only one person from the reservation arriving . It took them about 40 minutes to do it, and the CM was very nice about it, but it did not inspire confidence, and the printed confirmation we received afterwards was gibberish (literally--indecipherable codes, and no apparently relevant information). We will rest easier if we go with something tried and true, and that makes it worth it for us.

the other thing to keep in mind is that may is the month they start this and I'm sure there will be problems in the first month or maybe longer.
