Song Airlines
I was just reading the Magical express thread and saw that alot of people liked the new song airlines. I have only flown them once and it wasn't under very good circumstances anyhow, but it was the worst flight I ever had. It started at the airport checkin and went till I got out of the airport.
But I have only used them for one round trip from Orlando to Hartford, CT. How does everyone else like them. I'm thinking of giving them another chance. Right now the only airline I will fly between those 2 points is southwest due to the great customer service. |

Re: Song Airlines
We LOVE flying Song!! I have flown Delta and Song at least 10 times and never had any problems.
And now with Song flights to Orlando it has become even better. The Planes are in great shape, the customer service has been excellent. And having those tv's in every seat is a huge plus in my opinion. I would give them another chance, don't think they'll let you down again.

Re: Song Airlines
I must admit that I have read alot of bad postings about Song. However unless Spirit Air gets on board with the Magical Express, we may try Song yet.

Re: Song Airlines
We flew Song this past January from NYC to West Palm (we drove from WP to Orlando). From check in at LGA to our return home I was completely satisfied with the airline. I would definately fly them again. The kids loved the individual tv's and Stu and I loved the trivia game. And, the prices were excellent. The planes are new, the staff ~ wonderful. We had bad weather on the way home, had to circle NC for a while and the pilot was very informative and personal durning his many updates.

Re: Song Airlines
If I didn't hate flying so much, I'd fly them again. My very last flight was on Song, and aside from the fact that it was an airline and I was on an airplane, it was just fine

Re: Song Airlines
I begining to get the impression you don't like flying. Thanks everyone for your thoughts I think I'll give them one more shot this summer, if there prices are competive. The tv's don't push me one way or the other I just sleep the entire flight. (normally I have no sleep before the flight so I'm out before we event take off.)

Re: Song Airlines
I've flown Song twice and I've flown Delta a number of times.
Neither can TOUCH JetBlue. I'm not impressed with Song at all. But JetBlue.. lemme tell ya.. I wish ALL airlines were run that way. I'm a JetBlue customer for life. I'm so glad they fly out of Boston.

Re: Song Airlines
I'm flying on Song from Orlando to Las Vegas (5 hours.) I haven't flown with them before, but I'll tell you, those TVs make me happy. Cartoon Network all the way home for my daughter should make an easy flight. And they have A&E and CourtTV for me! :D
I'm worried about the flight to Orlando though, it's on Delta and they're showing "After the Sunset" I can never sleep on planes, I wish I could. She'll probably put her head in my lap and fall asleep, that would be great. We're leaving at 7 am so she'll probably be sleepy. She's hard to entertain sometimes. I'll be happy to read the whole way there!

Re: Song Airlines
rob and i flew with song for our last trip to WDW and had a pleasant experience. the plane is festivally colorful and great for kids. you have a menu to order food, if you like, though you have to pay. food is good though. you get to listen to music and watch tv if you want. also, there's an onboard trivia game that you play with passengers that helps pass the time by as well. overall, i recommend song.

Re: Song Airlines
jetblue is sort of like song, but of course different. you get to watch tv with directTV, listen to music but through the little arm rest, and there is no menu. with song, you get to listen to music not only through the arm rest but also there is a menu on the TV. i forget the sattilite service that's offered with song but it's all good.

Re: Song Airlines
Those satalites on Jet blue and Song are highly tempermental in bad weather, the last time I flew song it was bad weather all the way back from CT to Orl. And the screen went blank and said searching for satalitle. I have had this happen on Jet blue as well.
(Note: I understand weather is nothing SONG can control and have no complaints over any delays suffered by weather, however my problems came in every shape and size on my last trip, and that was my reasoning for starting this thread to see if others had similar problems) |

Re: Song Airlines
i guess i was lucky with both airlines to not have experienced weather and satellite complications. knock on wood that it doesn't happen the next time we fly with either airline.
