My family will be flying southwest when we go to WDW in June. There are 2 adults and 2 children(unfortunately not young enough to let us board first).
I heard that you can get your boarding pass online right after midnight the day your flying. I'm assuming this would definitley get us in the A section. Has anyone tried this? It sounds like this would let us do curb check in at the airport and head right to security. And I'm sure I'll be up at midnight if I actually sleep at all. Thanks for any info you have.

You sure can check in on-line before your flight.
I haven't done it with SW, but with Delta/Song, and it really does speed things up when you get to the airport.
Thats how it works, curb check and stright thru security to your gate, and no need to check in at the gate either.
They should allow the on-line check in even 24 hours before the flight (not sure about that though)

We are planning to print our boarding passes at midnight as well. It looks like an easy process and worth it. I want A boarding passes so I can sit with my family and not get split up. I never sleep the night before a Disney trip so being up at 12:01 am is no problem.

I believe it's after midnight the day of your flight, not 24 hours in advance. That would be too easy!

caln, if you look back at other threads you'll see where we discussed printing your SW boarding pass for your flight leaving WDW. Someone said that they had had luck asking very nicely at the front desk when it wasn't busy. They don't even have to actually print your boarding pass there, you can do that at the Rapid Checkin Kiosks at the airport. Of course, it would be nice to have it in hand when you arrive! I'm hoping this works for us. I'm going next week so I'll report back.

I went to the SW checkin site just to verify doing an online checkin one place and printing your boarding passes at a Rapid Checkin Kiosk. I can't find any information on it. I think I received an email for SW about this but deleted it. Does it ring a bell with anyone or did I dream this one up?

it might be harder to get them to do this now. The magical express system has flight checkin at each disney hotel and I understand it against disney policy for FD castmembers to do this (privacy resons).

SWA isn't a partner with Disney on this so you can't get boarding passes there. You can take the ME just not check in at the resort.

I am going in August and booked magic express, their list of airlines is always growing. We haven't printed ours in advance because usually we are at a hotel near the airport the night before. We get to the airport about 2 hrs. ahead of time and we never have any trouble sitting together, we usually are in the B group.

I have heard this from other people so I feel better about our return flight. We always get to the airport at least 2 hours before our flight so we should be fine getting our boarding passes then.

Two hours before your flight should get you in at least B, A if you're lucky.

We print ours out before we leave home. And it is anytime after midnight on the day of your flight, not 24 hrs in advance.

I'm going to inquire about having the front desk print out my return flight boarding passes. We're leaving from RPR, not Disney, so it should be interesting to see if it works out.
