Has anyone who is leaving soon gotten their ME luggage tags and info yet? I'm leaving very soon and haven't gotten them yet!

I have read that they are being Fed Exed out and you should get them this week. There was a problem with the printing and the tags (I think) had to be reprinted.

Thanks for the info disneyteacher. I'll have to call them then because we don't have postal service where I live and Disney only has a PO box address for me! I'm not sure if you can FedEx to a PO box.

Six days left and still no luggage tags! Anyone else in the same boat? I'm really starting to get nervous!

I have heard that Disney is now telling people that they may not get their tags in time. However, they have a plan in place to help you once you arrive at the airport. All you have to do is find a Disney CM and give that person your luggage claim tags and they will get your bags for you and get them to your resort. Worst case you can get your own bags and then go to the DME desk. If you get your won bags you will know for sure that they make it to your resort and then you can start your wonderful vacation.

I just booked Quicksilver for our trip this summer. I figure it this way: I'm spending all this money anyway, what's an extra $100 or so for personal service and comfort and convenience? Also, when talking to Gregory on the phone to book the trip, it became obvious that this is really cutting into his business big-time. He's always treated me wonderfully before, and he deserves my repeat business-he's earned it. I'll get to my resort that much quicker, too. I also figure that I'll be taking enough buses(to and from the parks) once I get there, so it'll be nice to "live in the lap of luxury" on my way to and from the airport.

That's good thinking. We booked Quicksilver for my inlaws return trip to the airport. I want them well taken care of since we won't be with them and I have heard only good things about Gregory and Quicksilver.

We are doing Quicksilver as well for my DM (she is coming in on her own) as she has never been to WDW and I worry about her comfort/security on such a new bus system....

I wondered how this was going to affect Quicksilver and the other car services. I know what you mean about having your share of riding buses while you are there. And it sure is nice to have the door to door service just for you!

I had been going back and forth between using ME and a towncar but after having a few unexpected expenses deceided to go with the free service! If it turns out bad, I will try and book a towncar for the return trip! I'm pretty nervous about using ME before they get all the kinks worked out! How bad can it be?

Honestly, I don't think it will be too bad at all. I keep asking myself if I were going this week would I chicken out and rent a car? I think after all I have heard and read I would stick with DME. I may be crazy but it still sounds good to me.

I think the worst that could happen it that you have to get or at least point out your luggage to a CM and you and your luggage will be on a bus on your way to your resort in as little time as possible. Just think, if you rent a car or booking a car service you still have to wait for your luggage and get to your car then get to WDW. I have heard the longest you will have to wait for your ME bus to depart is 15 minutes. If that's the case you are still out of the airport faster than renting a car.

Some people are talking about tying fabric/ribbon to their luggage then bringing a piece of the ribbon with them to give to the CM collecting the luggage to help the process a little. I think I would just pull my luggage off the belt and hand it off if I could.

The ribbon idea is a good one. I'm also going to put big bright stickers on the luggage.

Now I'm beginning to worry. I've got 11 days left and I haven't received my tags yet either but I've been feeling a little uncomfortable about not seeing my bags before I leave the airport. At least if they're missing, I can deal with it in person.
