Too early for plane tickets?

I was wondering what you all think.

I can get my plane tickets for next May now @ 79.00 each way, non-stop.

I just can't see them going any lower and we are already set with out dates.

Anyone see any problems?

Taking a chance if they're non refundable, but you'll probably never get a cheaper fare.

Nope, don't see any problem with that. I wish I could get my flights now for next March, I would sleep much better at night.

It sounds like a great price to me. If your dates are set book it, I don't see you getting a much better price than that..

I buy my tickets when I book the hotel. Up to 11 months out. Never had a problem. Once in a while the time of the flight changes. But it is usually only 1/2 to 1 hr diffrence.

I say go for it. I purchased my tickets for Oct in April because the rates went down $20/ticket. I just kept checking every day & figured they weren't going to get any lower so I bought them. My only concern would be if it was an airline like United that you're not sure is still going to be solvent then. But I haven't heard of any problems at Delta...

Do it! Do it, do it, do it! You'll feel so relieved and happy! Right now I'm completely stressed about some airline tickets that are going to cost TWICE what I'm used to paying. So jump on the good price while you've got it!

Oh, Delta's hemorrhaging money (like a lot of the others!). But that rarely keeps airlines from continuing to fly.

Hey Buzz, I booked our flights at least six months ago with Song. I got them for $64.19 + so $77.00 one way, so $621.00 round trip for four, not bad right? These are for Dec23 coming home on Jan 3. I look everyday at Song's site now it's $259.00 + ONE WAY! So your talking in the area of $2160.00+ now! Take that low fare now my friend!
